Role Description

• Drugstore.ng is seeking a Laravel Developer for a remote contract position.
• The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performing web applications using Laravel framework, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, clean, and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end components of enterprise-level applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Implement Microservices architecture to build scalable and resilient solutions
• Write and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Collaborate with the front-end development team to create seamless user experiences
• Work closely with the QA team to identify and address issues and bugs
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Integrate with 3rd-party services and APIs to expand application functionality
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in web development
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of development processes and workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in PHP/Laravel development
• Strong knowledge of Microservices development
• Proven experience working on enterprise-level applications
• Proficiency in unit testing and implementing code quality
• In-depth understanding of back-end development and architecture
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture
• Experience with RESTful API development
• Strong understanding of database design and SQL
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS
• Familiarity with Bagisto Framework
• Experience in integrating with 3rd-party services and APIs
