Lead, Foreign Payment (Ventures) at NNPC

Objectives

• Coordinate monitoring of debt/funding settlements/reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that vendor invoices are posted into the ledger in preparation for payment.
• Oversee preparation of payment schedules and payment instructions to commercial banks.
• Reconciliation of USD Revenue/Operations account & other USD denominated bank accounts.
• Preparation of daily cash position and outstanding invoices & remittances.
• Booking of Cash Call Receipt, Revenue and Other Inflows and Charges to the ledger.
• Booking of Bank Interest and Charges and Gas Sales.

Educational Qualification

• First Degree or its equivalent in Social Science preferably in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or Insurance or related fields.
• Certification in Professional membership of any of the relevant body e.g. ACA, ACCA, ANAN, CFA, CIS, CITN.

Competence

• Mastery of local and foreign payments system
• Knowledge of foreign exchange market operations
• Knowledge of accounting systems and practices
• Negotiation skills
• Mastery of foreign exchange risks management
• Mastery of local and international money and capital markets dealings and operations
• Knowledge of financial processes and regulations
• Knowledge of Oil and Gas industry

Experience

• Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
