    Learning and Development Officer

    • The Learning and Development (L&D) Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of training and development programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees.
    • This role involves assessing organizational needs, designing curricula, and ensuring that training programs align with the company's strategic goals.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, develop, and implement training programs that address specific business needs and employee skills gaps.
    • Create training materials such as manuals, e-learning modules, and instructional guides.
    • Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers.
    • Analyze and identify skills gaps to tailor development programs accordingly.
    • Deliver training sessions using various methods (e.g., workshops, seminars, e-learning).
    • Coordinate with external trainers and vendors when necessary.
    • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.
    • Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and results.
    • Support career development initiatives and individual employee development plans.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to enhance their skills and career progression.
    • Ensure all training programs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
    • Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Source and manage relationships with training providers and vendors.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in learning and development or a related role.
    • Strong knowledge of training methodologies
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
    • Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
    • Strong analytical skills for needs assessment and program evaluation.
    • Good project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    COMPETENCY AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Adaptable and open to continuous learning and improvement.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing training solutions.
