    Litigation Clerk

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Litigation Clerk to join our legal team.
    • The successful candidate will assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, document management, and court filings.
    • This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to providing excellent support to our legal team.

    Responsibilities
    Document Management:

    • Organize and maintain files for active litigation cases, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.

    Case Preparation:

    • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, including gathering and organizing evidence, drafting legal documents, and preparing trial binders.

    Court Filings:

    • File legal documents with courts, both electronically and in person, ensuring compliance with all court rules and deadlines.

    Client Interaction:

    • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, schedule meetings, and provide updates on case status as directed by attorneys.

    Research:

    • Conduct legal research using online resources and legal databases to support case strategy and development.

    Administrative Support:

    • Provide general administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
    • Any other duty assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Education: OND or its equivalent
    • Experience: Previous experience in a legal environment is highly desirable. Minimum of 2 years.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
    • Candidate must be very knowledgeable about parts of Lagos State.
