Job Description:

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students at Secondary school level. The role includes planning, developing, and delivering engaging lessons that meet educational standards and cater to the needs of a diverse student body. The teacher will also assess students’ progress, provide feedback, and foster an environment conducive to learning and mathematical exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Use digital tools and resources to enhance student learning.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback for improvement.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Provide additional support to students who need extra help with mathematical concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and attendance.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification is preferred (e.g., PGDE, NCE).
• Experience: Previous teaching experience in a similar role is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mathematics at the required educational level.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner.
• Proficiency in the use of digital tools for teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Patience and enthusiasm for working with students.
• Certification: Teaching certification or registration with the relevant educational authority if any but not compulsory.
