    Operations Specialist - Agribusiness

    Role Overview:

    • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the Chairman in developing and growing the business, which is currently in its incubation phase.
    • This role is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of the company's operations run efficiently and contribute to its long-term success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Chairman to develop and implement strategic plans for the growth of the business.
    • Drive the expansion of the company’s export market and optimize local market opportunities.
    • Oversee and coordinate farm operations through consultants to ensure optimal productivity.
    • Monitor and ensure that farming schedules, including planting and harvesting, are adhered to and optimized for market demands.
    • Implement best practices in farm management to maximize yield and quality.
    • Manage the logistics of transporting goods from farm to market, both locally and internationally.
    • Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
    • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, manufacturing processes, and funding opportunities, both locally and internationally.
    • Identify and implement innovative practices that can enhance production and processing methods.
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies for farm produce, targeting both local and export markets.
    • Work with marketing teams to ensure the company’s products are well-positioned in the market.
    • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for farm operations and manufacturing activities.
    • Monitor and manage operational costs to ensure they are within budget and contribute to profitability.
    • Ensure all operations comply with local and international regulations and standards.
    • Oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards for all products.
    • Lead and motivate the operations team to achieve company goals.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other key stakeholders.
    • Represent the company in meetings with government agencies, industry bodies, and other relevant organizations.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Experience in the food and agribusiness industry, particularly in trading commodities or managing farm exports, is a plus but not mandatory.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a structured environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to travel both locally and internationally.
    • Strong goal orientation and the ability to work independently.
