    Principal (Head Of School)

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a smart professional who is available to resume immediately for this position.
    • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a mixed Curriculum School ideally in an international school setting, the Principal will be the Administrator of the School.
    • He/she will have key responsibility for strategic visioning and corporate governance.
    • The Principal will be required to drive and improve upon the current growth and strategic plan for the school.
    • The Principal will be tasked with formulating and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures, in line with the school’s core values and mission.
    • Achieving academic excellence which is at the core of the School requires that the Principal works collaboratively with the senior management of the school, to nurture the School’s community, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, alumni development, school facilities development, and infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    • To oversee all academic and extracurricular activities of the school.
    • To develop and implement strategies to maintain excellent standards and academic performance.
    • To examine and identify areas of improvements in all facets of the school system.
    • Supervise the activities of academic and nonacademic members of staff.
    • Coordinate the administrative staff to provide adequate support for the efficient management of resources.
    • As a member of the Senior Management Board in the contribution towards and oversight of the strategic direction and leadership of the college.
    • Lead and motivate the School Admin Team through promoting a culture of service excellence and growth, and to ensure the effective management of administrative and operations matters.
    • Participate in and support the implementation of the school’s Performance Management & Assessment system.
    • Demonstrate the skills of effective communication and relationship management with students, colleagues and others.

    Requirements

    • The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a M.Ed.
    • Must have a minimum of 12 years of teaching experience with at least 4 years as a Principal or Vice Principal from a reputable Cambridge Accredited School or International School.
    • Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Must have good understanding of British and Nigerian curriculum
    • Excellent communication skills. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint.
