    Program Manager

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee the successful implementation of our programs. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing program staff, developing and executing program plans, ensuring quality delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent project management capabilities, and a commitment to achieving results.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Program Planning and Management:

    • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of all program activities in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor program progress, ensuring milestones are met and identifying any risks or issues.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Manage and mentor program staff, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting communication and teamwork.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, government agencies, and community leaders.
    • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events, effectively communicating the program’s impact and needs.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure their input is considered in program design and implementation.
    • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

      • Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure effective tracking of program outcomes and impact.
      • Prepare and submit timely and accurate program reports to donors, management, and other stakeholders.
      • Use data and feedback to continuously improve program quality and effectiveness.
    • Resource Management:

      • Oversee program budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and within budgetary constraints.
      • Identify and pursue opportunities for additional funding and resource mobilization to support program expansion.
      • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies in all financial and operational activities.
    • Strategic Development:

      • Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring that programs align with broader organizational goals.
      • Identify and explore new programmatic opportunities in line with the organization’s mission.
      • Provide thought leadership on best practices and innovations in program management.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in [relevant field, e.g., International Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration] (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum of [5] years of experience in program management, preferably in the [sector] sector.
    • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of achieving program goals.
    • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to think strategically and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
    • Fluency in [languages required] is an asset.
