    QA/QC Lead, Fiber Operations

    Department: Infrastructure Quality

    Function: Operations

    Job Grade: Permanent

    Reporting to: Head of Infrastructure Quality

    Location: Global

    Travel Frequency: As Required

    Work Schedule: 8am-5pm Weekdays

    Salary Budget: 6-8 million Naira Annually

    Purpose of the Job

    The QA/QC Lead, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Quality, is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes for outside plant fiber operations. This includes conducting spot checks, milestone and final acceptance testing, managing escalations, enforcing quality standards, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The role also involves ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and contributing to the overall quality objectives of the Infrastructure Division. Additionally, the QA/QC Lead is tasked with building capacity and developing the teams under their supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    Quality Assurance and Compliance

    • Ensure all outside plant fiber deployments and operations adhere to established quality standards.
    • Conduct periodic audits and verifications of as-maintained information and records.
    • Maintain and update standards, specifications, and training documentation.

    Reporting

    • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on performance indices for the Infrastructure Quality Unit.
    • People Management and Training
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
    • Drive internal and external training initiatives to enhance team performance.

    Key Competencies

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
    • Professional certification as a Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) is an added advantage.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of turnkey fiber deployments and civil works standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, AutoCAD/Visio, with knowledge of GIS being an added advantage.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Work Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience in turnkey fiber deployment and civil works standards and specifications.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, and familiar with CAD and GIS tools.
