RDC Assistant Depot Manager at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing and logistics activities ensuring effective and efficient warehouse and logistics operations. Implement quality standards for productivity, safety and customer service in achieving the agreed business targets within stipulated timelines.

THE JOB

• Plan and optimize truck routes to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
• Manage all site operations at the depot.
• Conduct and organize cycle count to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
• Supervise depot staff providing leadership support and guidance.
• Ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
• Resolve issues or disputes that arise during depot operations and conduct root cause analysis to improve operations.
• Prepare all relevant deport performance review and present to the leadership team.
• Coordinate and track RDC replenishment with various dispatch sites.
• Ensure there is no expiry or write-off of stock by following the FIFO (First In, First Out) stock management technique.

• Excellent inventory management abilities.

QUALIFICATION

• BSc/HND in Engineering/Business discipline.
• Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
• Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.

EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years in similar role and capacity.
