    Relationship Officer, Microfinance Bank

    Job purpose

    Thus role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients through effective relationship-building. Understanding clients' financial goals and providing suitable banking solutions. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure excellent customer services. The Relationship Officer is the interface between the Bank and the customer and nurtures mutually beneficial relationships between both parties.

    Key duties and responsibilities

    1. Identify potential customers through databases, cold calling, follow up leads and telephone/personal contacts etc.
    2. To sell Personal EDFIN microfinance products to the specified target customers/segments and meet monthly sales targets.
    3. To contact potential customers and convince them about the bank’s product offerings.
      Ensuring that the conclusions on all the business sourced on Telesales leads, should be reported to SRM
    4. To ensure that prospects are clearly communicated about the bank charges/terms and conditions.
    5. To ensure “Know Your Customer” requirements as prescribed by the bank are duly adhered to. All the legal and compliance guidelines provided by the bank are adhered to.
    6. Data confidentiality and secrecy norms of the bank are adhered to.
    7. To ensure that no customer application is misplaced and is kept in safe custody.
    8. To ensure that code of the conduct as per the bank bank’s policy are adhered to
    9. To ensure that all the documents provided by the customer for completion the card applications are duly checked and forwarded to the relevant bank officers.
    10. To ensure that I do the documents original sighting as laid out in the original sighting guidelines of the KYC policy of the bank.
    11. To ensure that the sales process prescribed by the bank is fully adhered to.
    12. Verify that potential customers satisfy all criteria required of a desired customer profile as outlined by the bank.
    13. Derive insight to competitor’s sales activities and effectively report them to the Sales Manager/Relationship Manager.
    14. Maintain accurate and up to date activity records.
    15. Maximize sales referral opportunities by working with customer service colleagues.
    16. Is responsible for delivering service to customers that is synonymous with the consumer brand experience being promoted by the organization.
    17. To ensure performance as per the performance management criteria.

    Qualification and experience

    1. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 4 - 7 years’ general banking experience of which 4 - 5 years should have been in a leadership role in Digital Banking.
    2. Experience in product development & launch. Previous experience in Microfinance, agent and retail banking. Experience in market research, analysis and business development.
    3. Experience in business strategy formulation and execution with verifiable track records.
    4. Competencies for the Roles: Business skills, financial and data analysis and business performance management with strong marketing background.
    5. People management, organizational and leadership abilities. Team player and ability to work with minimum supervision.
    6. Resilient, Solutions oriented mind set and creative thinking abilities. A good understanding of Risk, Compliance policies and procedures.
    7. Demonstrated consistent high performance in roles held.
    8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to network, generate new business and develop strong business relations.

    KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
