Research Associate (Nutrition and Food-Safety) at Stresert Services Limited

Job Summary:

The Successful candidate will support relevant projects and research activities, as well as provide industry support in building their quality management systems to bridge identified gaps in the food industry. He/she will also support the Lead Consultant in developing business proposals and managing day-to-day activities as required. He/she will also be expected to manage the Social Media platforms of the company and work with corporate partners and stakeholders in developing initiatives in the agribusiness, food, nutrition, policy, and regulatory sectors.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of a Good B. Sc/M. Sc in Food Science and Technology/Nutrition/ Agricultural Sciences and any other related field in the Applied Sciences.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience and/or research exposure will be an advantage.
• Exceptional Communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) in English Language.
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or CorelDraw will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in research surveys, data collection and evaluation, reporting, and developing proposals. Affinity for details and the ability to deliver to deadlines will be essential.
• Previous exposure or volunteering role in an NGO or a Consulting firm may be an advantage.
• Relevant research and proficiency in developing content and engaging effectively on social media platforms.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• A business mindset and an affinity for professional mentoring and motivation for developing expertise in the food and nutrition sector will be an advantage.
