    Sale-Representative/Business Development Officer

    Job summary:

    The Sales-representative/ Business development officer is responsible for meeting sales targets, developing strategies to drive sales growth, Identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients. This role also involves market analysis, strategic planning and collaboration with Marketing and management departments to drive the company’s expansion efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct market research to identify new markets, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Analyze data to inform business strategies and decision-making.
    • Generate leads, build a pipeline of potential clients, and convert prospects into customers. Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing business.
    • Monitor and report the effectiveness of business development activities. Use metrics to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas. Track and report on sales performance.
    • Promote services and products through presentation, demonstration, and other sales techniques.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company goals. 
    • Work with the sales, marketing, and product development team to align efforts and achieve business objectives.

    Performance KPIs:

    • Sales Volume: The total amount of sales generated over a specific period.
    • Sales Cycle Length: The average time it takes to close a sale from the first contact to the final sale.
    • Customer Retention Rate: The percentage of customers who continue to Renew product purchase over a given period.
    • Revenue Growth: The increase in revenue attributed to business development activities.
    • Market Penetration: The extent to which the company’s products or services have entered the markets.
    • Customer Feedback and Satisfaction: The level of satisfaction reported by customers.

    Incentives:

    • Project Delivery Bonus: Rewards for achieving project milestones on time and within budget.
    • Commission - Based Reward: A percentage of the sales revenue as commission.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Monthly Salary: N80,000.00 - N120,000.00 including basic salary, other allowances such as housing and transport allowance.
    • Contributed Health Insurance ( ½ from Employee and ½ from Company) provided by Boston Health Insurance.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field. An MBA or a relevant advanced degree is an advantage.
    • Experience:  Proven track record in Business development, sales, Customer relationship management or related roles.
    • Attributes: Goal- oriented, result- driven, and ability to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to identifying and securing opportunities.

    Professional Development Requirements:

    • Regular attendance at Company’s seminars and training courses to stay current with evolving technologies and business trends.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
    • Obtaining relevant certifications to validate skills.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with project teams.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and other business tools
    • Understand financial principles and business metrics
    • Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
