    Science Teacher

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • Our Client is seeking a passionate and creative STEM Teacher to join their dynamic team. The teacher will provide STEM-related educational programming for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in STEM education, a flair for designing innovative lesson plans, and a passion for working with children.
    • The position will also co-facilitate birthday parties and other museum events.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Educational programming with visitors
    • Teach after school programs
    • Develop and implement age-appropriate STEM curriculum for children.
    • Plan and facilitate interactive STEM workshops, classes, and demonstrations that align with educational standards and learning objectives.
    • Create hands-on experiments, projects, and activities to promote critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific inquiry.
    • Collaborate with the Education Director/Manager and other museum staff to coordinate STEM programs, events, and outreach initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and support to museum visitors, including students, teachers, and families, during STEM-related activities and exhibits.
    • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to museum policies and procedures.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness, gather feedback from participants, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Stay updated on current trends, developments, and best practices in STEM education to enhance program offerings and educational impact.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Education Director/Manager.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong background in STEM education
    • ⁠A flair for designing innovative lesson plans
    • ⁠A passion for working with children.
