    Senior Accountant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitoring all daily activities of the junior accountants (Account payables and Account receivables officers), and promptly reporting to the CFO.
    • Maintain accounting ledgers, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.
    • Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance.
    • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries in the ERP.
    • Tracking vendor payments and employees’ expenses by verifying expense reports and processing payments.
    • Match purchase orders to the invoices and post in the ERP system.
    • Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
    • Manage regulatory Payments (Pension, PAYE, VAT, WHT etc.).
    • Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments.
    • Prepare Bank reconciliation statement.
    • Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
    • Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Minimum).
    • ICAN / ACCA (Fully Chartered).
    • Knowledge and experience with ERP - (Navision Knowledge added advantage).
    • Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience (with at least 2 - 3 years in a leadership / supervisory role).
