    Social Media Associate

    Key Responsibilities

    • Being proactive to ensure that She Code Africa (SCA) is a part of important conversations related to African women in tech and STEM, Technology, Career, and life
    • Develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns that align with the organisation’s goals.
    • Grow the number of followers and page engagement, while monitoring and analysing social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Lead weekly strategic meetings on content direction for all social platforms
    • Collaborate with respective teams to ensure that social media and content strategies are aligned with overall goals, to boost community and programs growth. 
    • Establish and deliver social community engagement goals on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Utilize data and analytics to drive decision making and advise social content and editorial decisions
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices within the industry to ensure that the organisation’s social media presence remains fresh and engaging.
    • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and ad creation.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with community influencers and other partners to expand the company's social media reach.
    • Oversee and complete social content production and editing every week
    • Develop new concepts and series for our audience and seek out contributors
    • Listen to our users and encourage dialogue on our social platforms to grow awareness, engagement and followers count
    • Create and publish high-quality content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

    Qualifications

    • At least 1-2 years of active experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
    • Strong writing skills and the ability to create engaging content that aligns with the organisation’s brand voice and image.
    • Knowledge of social media advertising and analytics platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics.
    • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how they relate to content development.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong project management skills.
    • Passion for technology and education and experience working women focused organisations and communities
    • Strong proficiency in G-suite
    • Familiarity or experience working with or in non-profit organizations is a plus
    • Fluency in English is required
