    Sourcing Manager - Farm

    Role Brief:

    • We are seeking an analytical and results-oriented Sourcing Manager-Farm to join our team.
    • You will be responsible for optimizing our agricultural product procurement, building strong relationships with farmers, and ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of crops.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement a sourcing strategy to secure high-quality crops at competitive prices. This includes identifying new farmer partnerships, analyzing market trends, and negotiating contracts.
    • Farmer Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with farmers, understand their needs and challenges, and work collaboratively to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
    • Operational Excellence: Streamline our farm-to-table procurement process, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to manage inventory levels based on production needs and seasonal variations.
    • Quality Control: Implement procedures to ensure consistent product quality throughout the supply chain. Conduct regular farm inspections and partner with farmers to improve agricultural practices.
    • Cost Management: Negotiate favorable pricing with farmers and explore cost-saving opportunities across the procurement process.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize data to identify trends, optimize sourcing strategies, and measure the performance of our procurement activities. Prepare reports for stakeholders to keep them informed.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and company policies.

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (an MBA is a plus).
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural procurement or a related field.
    • Proven experience in building and managing relationships with farmers.
    • Strong understanding of agricultural production practices and market trends.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must).
    • Experience with agricultural technology a plus.
    • A passion for agriculture and a commitment to sustainable practices.
