Location: Thoughtful House Autism Center Gudu-Apo, Abuja

What You'll Do:

• Support in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
• Use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to support diverse learning styles
• Work closely with parents, caregivers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and team meetings
• Think creatively

What We're Looking For:

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Special Education certification required
• Experience: Previous experience working with children with special needs preferred
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of special education work ethics and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to create and implement effective, individualized teaching plans
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
