Special Risk Underwriting Manager at Cornerstone Insurance PLC

Responsibilities

• Appraise proposed risk and determine level of exposure.
• Based on the exposure, determine premium rates and policy terms.
• Advise the client/broker the decision on rates and terms of acceptance
• Discuss and negotiate terms with the client/marketer/broker
• For pre-accepted slips, review the terms and conditions with the Unit Head/GHT for approval
• Refer risks for survey/inspection as may be necessary.
• Review survey reports and recommendations and incorporate same into policy as warranties.
• Risk profiling of businesses for renewal e.g., premium payment, loss ratio etc.
• Prepare AIP AND PPR DOCUMENTATION to NAICOM
• Compiling appropriate documents for applications to secure approval for offshore Reinsurances.
• Developing standard indexing in line with NAICOM Prudential Guideline.
• Managing NAICOM application portal

Qualification

• B.Sc in any related field
• 5-7 years of experience as a Specialty and general insurance underwriting.
• Keen knowledge of operations in the oil/gas, engineering, aviation sector.
• Must be CIIN qualified.
• Must have good knowledge of use of EDMS, GIBS software.
• Must have great communication skills
