    Specialist Wholesale Carriers Business Settlements & Collections

    Job Summary        

    • This role will be responsible for meeting set revenue and margin targets by optimising routing decisions within9mobile strategic, wholesale and OTT customer base. 
    • Coordinate and manage the business relationship with Carriers, OTTs and other providers, SLAs and contract agreements on traffic exchange with existing and potential partners. 
    • Manage wholesale partners, invoicing, payment and collection.      

    Principal Functions

    • Drive cross department projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance - be an owner.
    • Extract and analyse daily, weekly monthly and annual interconnect traffic data and generate EDR reports for interconnect partners
    • Ensure prompt collection of revenue from all partners for each billing cycle
    • Hands on routing experience and the ability to make routing decisions to optimise revenue and margin. Actively user outing knowledge to maximize routing options to grow revenue and margins for9mobile while maintaining the right quality for our customers.
    • Responsible for consistently growing volumes, revenues, and margins within the customer base.
    • Own projects and work across departments with an array of internal teams including finance, legal, carrier relations, revenue assurance and digital business operations.
    • Develop new business and grow the business from existing accounts in line with agreed business targets
    • Manage commercial relations with Carriers, OTT and messaging hubs on international Wholesale products
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, annual and on-demand report on traffic and revenue growth
    • Monitor and ensure prompt and accurate update of billing rates on interconnect platform.
    • Liaise with finance and wholesale and carrier relation to ensure partner invoices are paid as at when due.
    • Set up new interconnect partners on interconnect platform and ensure strict compliance with billing and invoicing clauses as provided in the contracts.
    • Prepare weekly partner statement of accounts, update subsidiary books in the Carrier business folder with invoices and other source data for referencing in any recurring issue or dispute settlement.
    • Generate all partner invoices on the interconnect platform, receive interconnect partner invoices and ensure wholesale clients and interconnect partners are billed accurately and promptly
    • Liaise with prospective interconnect partners to resolve all interconnect issues
    • Negotiate bilateral agreements with potential international carrier/operator
    • Reconcile monthly partners' statement of account
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Wholesale & Carrier Business

    Educational Requirements        

    • First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

    Experience,Skills & Competencies        

    • Three (3) to Five (5) years work experience, with at least Two (2) years in a wholesale and carrier relations function.
    • Experience with in-depth knowledge of global telecom regulations and international voice, messaging and wholesale business.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office -Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ACL command language with ability to handle large data and analytics
    • Good understanding of Event Detail Records (EDRS).
    • Knowledge of billing platforms
    • Must be familiar with Accounting terms- SOA, Payment Schedule, Netting and Set Off.
    • Have a combination of sales, routing and carrier experience.
    • Have strong financial reporting and forecasting skills of key metrics: volumes, revenues, margins and conversion rate trends on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
