The Role

• The Truck Sourcing manager is responsible for developing and executing truck sourcing strategies for the organization.
• The role holder will identify, negotiate with, and onboard truck partners, truck brokers and agents.
• This role will also track demand planning, availability, and forecasting to meet the business objectives. 

What You Will Do 

• Develop and implement fleet supply strategies to build and maintain a reliable network of trucks across the entire country.
• Identify potential truck partners, conduct negotiations, and establish contractual agreements for onboarding.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with truck suppliers and leasing companies.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms and company standards.
• Resolve any issues with truck partners regarding delivery, quality, or truck performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their specific sourcing needs and adequately meet stakeholders’ demand.
• Analyze market trends, assess supplier capabilities and recommend adjustments to sourcing strategies as required.
• Evaluate and negotiate pricing structures, discounts, and volume incentives to optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and key suppliers, fostering collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Collaborate with technology and operations teams to integrate new suppliers seamlessly into the aggregator platform.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the sourcing and onboarding process.
• Establish robust performance standards to monitor and audit the performance of logistics partners and drive continuous improvement. 

What We’re Looking for In the Ideal Candidate

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
• At least six years proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the logistics, haulage, or mass transportation industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with relevant software and tools for procurement and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Project management experience.
• Revenue reporting and management.
• Good experience leading, supervising, and motivating a team of fleet supply supervisors.
• Entrepreneurial approach to managing operations.
• Flair for building a high-performance team. 
• Must be willing to travel Pan Nigeria.
