Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Vetting/Investigation and Background Screening Officer at Rockshield Asset Protection Company Limited in Lagos State, Nigeria.
• The Officer will be responsible for conducting vetting, background checks, criminal investigations, report writing, and communication with various stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Ensures proper vetting and background checks of employees of the company.
• Ensure proper and thorough vetting of all applicant's guarantor and confirms the eligibility of the prospective employee’s guarantor.
• Confirms the correctness or otherwise of the information provided in the staff file.
• Conduct verification of Certificates and awards, both Local and International.

Qualifications

• HND/B.Sc Degree in any Management course or relevant studies
• Security professional certification would be an added advantage
• Relevant certification in investigations or related field
• Analytical Skills and Evidence interpretation
• Strong Communication skills
• Experience in Criminal Investigations
• Proficiency in Report Writing
• Attention to detail and critical thinking
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
• Relevant certification in investigations or related field

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Vetting and Background Screening
• Must be able to ride a bike and have a valid rider's permit/driver’s license
• Must have no criminal record
• Critical thinking skills
• Must possess good communication skills and ability to manage people effectively
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suites, MS Word, MS Excel
• Good communication skills with the ability to listen to others.
• Able to produce concise and accurate reports..
• Must have a good knowledge of Lagos road network
