    Warehouse Audit Officer (Calabar,Ikom)

    Role Summary:

    The Warehouse Audit Officer is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations through systematic audits. This role ensures that inventory records are accurate, internal controls are followed, and any discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct Regular Audits:

    • Perform scheduled and random audits of warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy.
    • Verify the physical count of stock against the inventory records.

    Monitor Internal Controls:

    • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating
    • practices, and documentation.
    • Recommend improvements to current processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    Investigate Discrepancies:

    • Identify and investigate any discrepancies in inventory records.
    • Liaise with the CFO and warehouse staff to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

    Reporting:

    • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations & submit to the CFO
    • Report any irregularities or significant issues to CFO.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure that warehouse operations comply with company policies and industry regulations.
    • Monitor safety procedures and report any potential hazards.

    Data Analysis:

    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
    • Use data to forecast future inventory needs and assist in planning.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or auditing.
    • Experience in a similar role within the logistics or manufacturing industry is preferred.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

    Additional Information:

    • Candidate must reside within Calabar, Ikom
    • This role may require occasional travel to different warehouse locations.
    • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours may be required during peak periods or to conduct audits.
