    Account Officer

    Job description

    Accounts Management:

    • Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
    • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
    • Prepare and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employee salaries.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Generate and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

    Compliance and Controls:

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
    • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits as required.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor and analyze budgetary variances and recommend corrective actions.

    Client and Vendor Relations:

    • Manage relationships with clients and vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Process payments and manage billing cycles.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
    • Identify and recommend improvements in financial processes and system

    Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.
    • Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Certifications: Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven track record of handling HR issues and implementing effective solutions.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
