    Account Officer

    Description

    • Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers on all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all the Company’s transactions. Review entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with Company’s accounting principles and global accounting standards.
    • Monitor ongoing sales and services. Receive complete sales/services from sales department; verify accuracy and completeness of all required information including current pricing, extension, waivers from suppliers, discounts applied.
    • Send bills & demand notices to clients on pending payments etc. and provide management accounts monthly.
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts, verify accuracy of bank statements and resolve questions or problems; maintain integrity of cash balance and cash flow system.
    • Carryout statutory remittances in a timely fashion and execute statutory deductions from employees.
    • Verify monthly totals of sales, sales history, returns and allowances. Maintain a cash receipt journal
    • Creating and processing invoices, Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy. Managing a company’s accounts payable and receivable
    • Tracking organization expenses
    • Help with monthly, quarterly and annual reports
    • Review and reconcile the general ledger regularly
    • Contribute to forecasting and budget planning exercises
    • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
    • Maintain constant communication with Supervisor
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess an HND / BSc in relevant fields with 3-5 years work experience.
    • Must have experience using an accounting software
    • Possess relationships with regulatory organizations

    Finance / Administrative Officer

    Job Description

    • The Individual should have minimal work experience, detail-oriented, goal-driven and with abilities to carry out directed functions to management and ensuring excellent delivery of their daily activities as stated below.

    Job Purpose

    • Accurately preparing and maintaining financial records and documents.
    • Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
    • Preparing financial models to forecast business financial performance.
    • Performing daily bank reconciliations and reconciling accounts in a timely manner.
    • Processing payroll for employees and preparing monthly financial reports.
    • Managing various income streams – individuals, funders, companies etc.
    • Ensuring timely & accurate invoicing and proper archiving of financial records.
    • Liaising with relevant auditors & consultants to ensure total compliance with all relevant external regulatory agencies.
    • Preparing accounts, statutory and tax returns; Providing tax planning services with reference to current legislation
    • Auditing financial information, compiling, and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements
    • Analysing accounts and business plans
    • Financial forecasting and risk analysis
    • Planning, organizing, and executing all financial tasks and projects of the organization.
    • Making estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization.
    • Completing financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecasts.
    • Developing and implementing plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Managing and monitoring financial metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.
    • Evaluating the financial performance of the organization and preparing accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis performed.
    • Coordinating with other relevant units when required to review financial information and forecasts.
    • Performing other relevant tasks as may be assigned by your reporting line manager.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Finance/Accounting or related (essential).
    • 3+ years of work experience as an Accountant (essential).
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
    • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Tools, and other financial planning software.
