    Accountant / Storekeeper (QSR)

    About the Role

    • We are seeking to engage an accountant/storekeeper who is responsible for overseeing accounting functions such as processing incoming and outgoing payments and preparing financial reports for management decisions and also keeping records on stocks and inventory.
    • The ideal candidate will ensure timely maintenance and accuracy of financial records and statements throughout the fiscal year.

    Responsibilities

    The specific responsibilities of the role include:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
    • Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods.
    • Maintain proper inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
    • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor and report on variances in financial performance.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits.
    • Supervise the organization and cleanliness of the storage area.
    • Implement efficient storage systems to optimize space utilization.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, invoices, and receipts.
    • Track expenses and prepare reports for management review.
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Perform any other tasks as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bs.c/HND in Accounting, Finance or in related field.
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in retail, food or related field.
    • Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
    • Experience with general ledger functions.
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

    Maintenance Officer

    Job Summary

    We are looking for an astute Maintenance Officer to oversee the logistics operations of the company.

    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other infrastructure components.
    • Identify and rectify maintenance issues promptly. Diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
    • Maintain and service machinery and equipment within the organization, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
    • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations. Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities. Ensure proper storage and availability.
    • Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs. Oversee their work to ensure quality and compliance
    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition. Generate reports and update maintenance logs.
    • Be available for on-call or emergency response situations to address urgent maintenance requirements.
    • Monitor and control maintenance costs within the allocated budget. Provide cost estimates for repairs and improvements.
    • Perform any other tasks as assigned.
