    Accounting Operations Specialist

    Position Summary

    • We are currently looking for an Accounting Operations Specialist (Financial Accountant), who will be responsible for ensuring rock solid accounting and Reporting, ensuring compliance with finance policies and provision of financial insights to the business.

    Responsibilities

    Accounting Operations:

    • Coordinate Payroll accrual and payment reconciliation with general ledgers.
    • Responsible for daily bank accounts clearing and ensure no open items aged above the target days.
    • Manage all lease and Right of Use accounting and quarterly reconciliation.
    • Manage employee loans account reconciliation.
    • Ensuring necessary accruals are made for potential tax risk from all ongoing tax audit and ensure timely posting of tax payment.
    • Manage all other treasury related journals and reconciliation.

    Closing and Financial Reporting:

    • Support during period-end close process, reviews account reconciliations.

    Internal Controls and Compliance:

    • Responsible for review and clearing of aged items in the balance sheet in order to avoid KRIs red dot.

    Others:

    • Manage GLF computation and posting
    • Coordinate dividend payments and reconciliation of unclaimed dividend with the company registral.
    • Computation of Final entitlement and journal posting.
    • Manage posting of direct and non-PO payments.
    • Act as SPOC for supply chain, head office and sale controlling Period-end Closing related journals.

    Requirements

    What Will Make You Successful?

    • B.Sc./HND in Finance or Accounting and must be a Chartered Accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in Finance and Control in FMCG company.

    Production Supervisor

    Position Summary

    • We are currently looking for a suitable candidate for the Production Supervisor role, who will supervise and monitor autonomous maintenance on the production line under his responsibility to meet up with Safety, Quality and output requirements through a strict follow up of the laid down procedure.

    Responsibilities

    A day in the Life of the Production Supervisor:

    • Ensure that all issues relating to safety in his area of work and within the factory are given priority, escalate and follow up on their resolution if he needs a support. 
    • Maintain Food Safety awareness and its relevance to ensure strict Compliance in the workplace. Act as back up for the line Manager when requested.
    • Responsible for monitoring all hygiene/cleaning operations in production floor areas and enforces good housekeeping.
    • Ensures production is properly executed to manufacture goods meeting prescribed standards, on time and meeting consumers expectations
    • Responsible for achieving the required production plan with the acceptable quality standard at first time right according to standard specifications.
    • Perform stock inventory during his shift and report accordingly to his line Manager.
    • Must ensure that proper shift handover is done according to the Nestle Continuous Excellence standard.
    • Act as an End User in the shift, to ensure that all transactions are properly captured in SAP ensures proper coordination of duties during break pairing.
    • Fill professionally the production reports and other related documents as required.
    • Supervises autonomous maintenance, and CIL of assets under his portfolio.
    • Drive safe working environment in compliance with the local laws striving for zero accidents through continuous coaching of the Operators and technicians on safety behaviours
    • Continuously use TPM methodologies to drive cost optimization across the resources on the shop floor
    • Analyse each line key performance measures in order to ensure optimum utilization of the asset
    • Adequate and efficient usage of materials in striving for zero loss.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this position you must have:

    • B.Sc. or HND in Engineering (Food Science/Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Agricultural or related field).
    • 5 years proven experience with strong character as a Line Technician in the plant of interest and 3 years as a supervisor.
    • Good attitude to work and ability to interact and communicate with people.
    • Demonstration of technical ability by proactively confronting machine malfunctions.
    • Demonstration of analytical ability to make accurate evaluation of multiple and complex data in making an informed decision.
    • Must be result oriented – ability to meet deadlines, ability to achieve result through other people, and a problem solver.

    Engineering Supervisor – Beverages

    Position Summary:

    • Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking for a suitable candidate for the Engineering Supervisor role, who will be responsible for the supervision of the engineering technicians assigned to facilities maintenance, to ensure that proper engineering support is provided on day-to-day engineering operation of the factory. He shall exercise supervision according to Nestle policies, guidelines, rules and regulations.

    A day in a Life of the Engineering Supervisor…

    • Ensure that there exists within the engineering maintenance team an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. That all team members are encouraged never to implement any change, whether directly instructed to, or under his/her own initiative, without first questioning its impact in relation to product safety/quality, people safety and the environment. No compromises should be tolerated.
    • Ensure that Good Engineering Practices are being applied at all times.
    • Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications resulting from gap assessments, plant audits and notifications.
    • Ensure that all technicians receive direct on the line coaching in machinery and line operation skills in respect to the requirements of Hygiene engineering.
    • Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, Production, Quality Management etc.) with effective information dissemination and documentation. Review systematically all lines, processes and utilities that are critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, environment or compliance with the law.
    • Plan & manage the execution of routine maintenance with first time quality.
    • Ensure that continuous improvement becomes a key pillar of the M&I culture.
    • Implement consequence driven maintenance (CDM) as the multi-discipline, team-based approach to proactively maintain/improve the Asset Intensity and performance of the company's Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM) as the process to manage the lifecycle of the fixed assets.
    • Establish and manage the yearly, monthly, weekly maintenance plans to ensure essential maintenance is completed within a reasonable time in either day or shift basis.
    • Monitor plant/equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime on day or shift duty.
    • Optimize predictive maintenance technologies (condition monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned downtime on day or shift duty.
    • Utilize planned downtime for scheduled and condition-based maintenance with work orders and with OEM, on day or shift duty.
    • Develop and implement improvements to minimize downtime for line change and cleaning, on day or shift duty.
    • Liaise with production, quality management daily to resolve technical and/or operational issues (Stoppage analysis from downtime reporting system), on day or shift duty.
    • Establish with production, shutdown and start-up work programs to minimize the risks to the product, people and production losses, on day or shift duty.
    • Supervise and coordinate Beverages/Confectioneries maintenance tasks by technicians and third parties, on day or shift duty with first time quality.
    • Carry out Continuous Improvement (CI) with LEAN prospects in Beverages & Confectioneries Electrical with the aim of achieving optimized plant performance, on day or shift duty.
    • Coordinate all Maintenance and Improvement checklist of all Electrical equipment, on day or shift duty.
    • Provide support for Beverages/Confectioneries Projects as it involves the various sections, on day or shift duty.
    • Ensure viable spare part management for all machines under coverage.

    What Will Make You Successful?

    To be successful in this position you must have a

    • B.Sc., HND in Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation/Automation Engineering.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience in providing Automation support & electrical maintenance of process machines and equipment
    • Minimum 2-3 yrs experience in automation using programming languages such as: SIEMENS and ALLEN BRADLEY PLCs
    • Must be a Team Player, Result Oriented, Adaptable/Flexible and always willing to help
    • Must have a good Communicator, be agile, and able to work under pressure.
    • Ability to work in a complex and dynamic operations environment.
