    Senior Audit Accountant

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Audit Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to contribute to our audit team.
    • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct financial audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and company policies.
    • Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans to address identified risks.
    • Examine and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of financial processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and support audit activities.
    • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and management responses.
    • Communicate audit results to management and provide guidance on remedial actions.
    • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure audit processes are current and effective.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and tools.
    • Mentor and train junior audit staff, providing guidance on technical and professional development.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • ACCA, ACA professional certification is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in auditing, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate setting.
    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results

    Requirements

    • B.SC / HND in Accounting or related field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ work experiencein the hospitality sector, with multiple outlet management.
    • Proficiency in the use of QUICKBOOKS across multiple locations reporting.
    • MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g. ICAN) is a plus
