    CCR OPERATOR (Cement Industry)

    Job Summary:

    • Responsible for plant operation and process control of the kilns, raw mills, cement mills and coal mills. Coordination, supervision and training of all other ccr operators.

    Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Executing the operation, in the shift, of Raw Mill, Kiln, Cement & Coal Mills and auxiliaries’ equipment from the Central Control Room (CCR)
    • Coaching and training of newly hired CCR operators to execute operational initiatives for increasing production and reducing cost of production.
    • Co-ordination of autonomous maintenance with the help of shift patrollers to achieve the targeted availability of plant for production of raw meal, clinker and cement.
    • Trouble shooting operational problems and taking actions to ensure sustained running of the equipment.
    • Achieving optimum fuel efficiency, power consumption and workforce utilization.
    • Ensure Implementation of ISO Systems and Safety Standards in Production Department.
    • Ensuring that the quality of the product going out from his department conforms with internal quality specifications.
    • Assessing self-development needs and taking action on improvement areas identified.
    • Relieves other Kiln CCR operator when on leave.
    • Additional duties as assigned by the Management

    Requirements

    • B.Sc., Chemical Engineering, Dip in Cement Tech.
    • Minimum 9 years Cement Plant experience

    Senior Contract Manager - Dangote Sugar Refinery

    Description

    • The Senior Contract Manager in the Sugar Backward Integration Program (BIP) will be responsible for managing all aspects of document control related to supplier pre-qualification, tender preparation, bid reviews, and contract administration.
    • This role requires an experienced professional who can effectively oversee the documentation processes that support procurement, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management within the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the documentation and process management for supplier pre-qualification, ensuring that all necessary documents are collected, reviewed, and approved in accordance with company standards.
    • Ensure all suppliers meet the required qualifications by managing the documentation process, including due diligence checks and compliance with company policies.
    • Prepare, review, and finalize tender documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with legal and company requirements.
    • Organize and manage the tender review process, ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary documentation for thorough evaluation.
    • Organize and document the bid review process, ensuring all submissions are properly logged, assessed, and stored.
    • Facilitate the supplier selection process by providing accurate documentation and records for decision-making, ensuring transparency and adherence to company policies.
    • Manage and administer ongoing contracts, keeping track of all contractual obligations, deliverables, and timelines.
    • Manage the preparation and distribution of handover certificates and other close-out documents, ensuring they are properly archived.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in document control, with a focus on procurement and contract management, preferably within (agribusiness) manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Deep understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
    • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
    • Expertise in document control processes, particularly within procurement and contract management environments.
    • Proficiency in document management systems (DMS), contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Certifications: Certification in Procurement, Contract Management, or Document Control is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with ISO standards and other industry specific documentation practices is beneficial.
    • Knowledge/Certification in FEDIC would be an added advantage.

    • This role involves the meticulous review, editing, and updating of technical documents, maintaining both physical and digital records, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
    • The Senior Document Controller will play a key role in supporting the BIP Unit by preparing ad-hoc reports and creating documentation templates for future use.

    Responsibilities:

    • Thoroughly check documents such as contracts, technical manuals, and workflows for accuracy, ensuring they meet company standards before distribution.
    • Maintain an organized system for version control, ensuring that the latest documents are always accessible to relevant stakeholders.
    • Distribute and track copies of project-related documents to internal teams as needed, ensuring that all relevant departments have the necessary documentation to proceed with their tasks.
    • Organize, maintain and efficiently retrieve both physical and digital records of all company documentation, ensuring they are easily accessible and securely stored.
    • Create and maintain document templates for future use, ensuring consistency and standardization across all company documentation.
    • Customize templates as needed to meet the specific requirements of different projects or departments.
    • Oversee and manage the flow of documentation within the BIP Unit, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of documents between departments and stakeholders.
    • Ensure that all sensitive information and terms of agreement are kept confidential, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as requested by management, providing clear and accurate summaries of document-related activities and project status.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or any related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in document control, with a focus on technical and contractual documentation, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
    • In-depth knowledge of document control processes, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in complex documents.
    • Strong technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and ensure efficient retrieval.
    • Proficiency in electronic document management systems (EDMS), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and PDF editing software.
    • Experience in managing documentation for large-scale projects or within a highly regulated industry.
    • Certification in Document Control, Records Management, or a related field is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with ISO standards and industry-specific documentation practices.
