    Chief Audit Officer

    Job Description

    • Examine and scrutinize internal work process and activities to determine compliance to policies, plans, standard, laws and regulations.
    • Restructure the internal audit system and set up standards of audit report.
    • Review audit working paper files and present management control report.
    • Protect and safeguard the company’s financial and other assets.
    • Review the adequacy and effectiveness of established policies and procedures and the overall performance of the audited area.
    • Review the accounting procedures and records in line with company’s policies
    • Develop, review and implement audit programmes and manuals for the Company.
    • Conduct and report on the value for money that the organization obtains in all its activities with special regard to economy, efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Evaluate accounting systems and internal controls.
    • Review audit working paper files and presenting management control report. 
    • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. 
    • Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
    • Develop initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 12 years post NYSC work experience in Audit, preferably in the financial industry with at least 6 years in a managerial position
    • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or any other related discipline
    • Membership of one or more relevant professional bodies (i.e. ICAN, ACCA, CISA) is required

    Chief Compliance Officer

    Job Description

    • Review and evaluates compliance issues / concerns within the organization and ensures compliance with all statutory regulations/internal policies. 
    • Collaborates with other units (e.g. Legal) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. 
    • Consults with the Legal Officer as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
    • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the 
    • general operation of the compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. 
    • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. 
    • Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated,  investigated and resolved.
    • Monitors, and coordinates compliance activities of other departments/units to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
    • Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the 
    • Board and Management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
    • Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
    • Ensure preparation of weekly NFIU returns
    • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly returns to NAICOM and NFIU
    • Review of underwriting files and ensuring that “know your customer (KYC) forms are maintained in underwriting files.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 12 years post NYSC work experience in Compliance, preferably in the financial industry with at least 6 years in a managerial position
    • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or any other related discipline
    • Membership of one or more relevant professional bodies (i.e. ICAN, ACCA) is required
    • Broad experience in creating risk analysis and control, service standards, operational policies and guidelines.
    • Excellent knowledge of insurance operations, structure, policies and procedures.

    Chief Risk Officer

    Job Description

    • Review and assess risk methodologies across the organization 
    • Design and implement the risk strategy of the company and ensure that lines of business have risk mitigation capacity both in personnel and risk systems.
    • Ensure risk are managed within the set risk appetite of the company
    • Develop, maintain and update risk governance framework, risk policies, risk appetite and risk limits.
    • Instituting the risk culture company wide
    • Provide leadership and direction for enterprise-wide risk management in the entity.
    • Develop, maintain and update risk governance framework, risk policies, risk appetite and risk limits.
    • Design and update the risk rating parameters
    • Maintenance and update of risk register
    • Analysis of Residual and Inherent risk and management of business continuity  plan
    • Provide leadership and direction for Enterprise-wide Risk Management across the company
    • Ensure capacity building on ERM across the company
    • Provide regular reports to senior management and board on ERM

    Job Requirements

    • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or any other related discipline
    • Membership of one or more relevant professional bodies (i.e. ICAN, ACCA, CISA,  CRISC) is required
