    Chief Financial Officer

    About the job

    • Oversee Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
    • Work with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
    • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
    • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
    • Review planning process and suggest improvements to current methods.
    • Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
    • Work with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
    • Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
    • Identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
    • Oversee investment of funds and work with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.

    Qualifications/Experience

    • BSC/ Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
    • ICAN Certified.
    • ACCA Certification - added advantage.
    • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
    • Knowledge of SAGE software and other accounting softwares.
    • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Electrical Trainee

    Job Responsibilities

    • Learning from the electrical supervisors and completing all assigned duties
    • Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting and assisting with repairs of equipment electrical faults
    • Interpreting blueprints and schematics
    • Updating work logs and handling other administrative duties
    • Completing electrical installations and carrying out various maintenance duties
    • Collaborating with construction workers, plumbers and other crew members

    Job Requirements

    • A relevant License and certification
    • Practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment
    • Ability to read technical manuals, blue prints, and schematics
    • Strong analytical trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
    • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.

    Facility Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
    • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
    • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
    • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
    • Supervise all staff facilities staff (farmworkers, technicians, harvesters etc.) and external contractors
    • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
    • Allocate office space according to needs
    • Handle insurance plans and service contracts
    • Keep financial and non-financial records
    • Perform analysis and forecasting

    Requirements and skills

    • B.Sc / BA in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field
    • Relevant professional qualification will be an advantage
    • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
    • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
    • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Good analytical/critical thinking.

    Legal / Compliance Lead

    Responsibilities

    • Review of all relevant statutory laws and regulations applicable to the Company and ensure compliance with these
    • Ensure that business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that all regulatory permissions remain current and appropriate for business needs.
    • Continual compliance risk assessment of company practices together with the development of internal policies and procedures, compliance training and protocols.
    • Liaise with auditors, external lawyers, tax advisers, bankers and shareholders.
    • Preparation of compliance documentation with relevant constitutive documents for statutory, legal, regulatory purposes.
    • Liaison with all the subsidiaries within the Company’s Group, service providers, external legal advisers, and government agencies.
    • Maintenance and review of Legal Agreements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Law. LLM (an advantage)
    • A minimum of 5 years working experience with at least 3 years compliance experience preferably within the financial services environment. Insurance Industry experience preferable.
    • I.T knowledge (particularly in Excel and Word)
    • High level of determination and tenacity
    • Good understanding of Compliance activities.
