    Company Secretary / General Counsel

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Provide legal advice to all business functions on wide-ranging matters to help achieve the organization’s business objective
    • Drafting of all contract agreement between the Company and prospecting contractors in a manner to ensure strict compliance
    • Giving legal opinion on agreement presented to the Company with intention to create legal relationship
    • Managing contractual/material arrangements with suppliers/customers
    • Ensuring that Board meetings are organized with the strictest compliance to the Company’s memo and Articles of Association
    • Directing the Board on the provisions of Companies and Allied Matters Act where the need arises during meetings
    • Ensuring that Notices and Agenda for the Board Meetings is prepared and sent to Board members within time
    • Writing and Developing Board Meetings
    • Keeping the register of members
    • Keeping the register of Directors
    • Custodian of company seal and other company documents/archives
    • Ensure that statutory meetings e.g. AGM is held with strict compliance to the provisions of Company and Allied matters Act
    • Oversee and ensure prompt reporting of all Statutory and Regulatory Compliances with statutory provisions of the Law and regulation
    • Manage Consumer protection and competition advisory engagements
    • Manage and coordinate litigation matters and external counsel relationship to protect the company from legal risks
    • Acting as bridge between the Company and the police on issues involving the police.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree in Law with necessary practicing license
    • 10 years membership at the Bar
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Company Secretary and General Counsel.

    Skills:

    • Good Knowledge of applicable laws.
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Computer Literacy
    • Sound Knowledge of English
    • Swift response to issues of consequence.

    Process Operator - Packaging

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Operate equipment in Packaging process areas according to VPO standards Constantly review process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
    • Record waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems
    • Review trends to identify & resolve problems
    • Carry out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas
    • Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution
    • Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift
    • Carry out the required quality checks and analyses and record the results on the appropriate information system
    • Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions
    • Making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities
    • Fully understand the team Dream and contribute in achieving it.
    • Make use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues
    • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated
    • Where problems occur, use the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues
    • Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends
    • Use QFR's (As per triggers)
    • Complete 5 WHY's (As per triggers) with relevant team members
    • Contribute towards Abnormality reports as required
    • Complete associated tracking and monitoring: operator workstation administration and take action as required
    • Complete Team room administration as required
    • Interpret and implement production plan for shift
    • Operate manual and automatic machines on Packaging line as per standards
    • Monitor production processes on shift and correct any negative trends
    • Ensure process quality and productivity.

    Qualification & Experience

    • B.Sc / HND qualification or equivalent in Engineering
    • Experience in a packaging process environment
    • Minimum of 2 years in FMCG environment
    • Experience in running a high-speed packaging line.

    • A logical, analytical problem solver who can operate in a fast-paced environment
    • A team player
    • High level of initiative and energy.
