    Depot Manager

    Job Introduction

    • Adexen was mandated by an Oil & Gas company operating in the downstream industry to recruit an experienced Depot Manager for their operations in Nigeria.
    • The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

    Responsibilities

    • The Depot Manager holds a pivotal role encompassing critical and strategic managerial responsibilities within the terminal. The role demands the supervision of the day-to-day operations in the fuel terminal with a focus on operational excellence, technical support, improvements, cost management, safety, and business continuity.
    • Represent the company in high-profile business meetings with external entities and engage with diverse stakeholders of the business.
    • Develop procedure manuals in line with industry practices for HSE, maintenance operations, logistics, etc., to ensure smooth and seamless operations within the depot.
    • Plan product supply in conjunction with the trading department and monitor vessel loading/discharge activities
    • Innovatively propose and follow up on the implementation of methods that will make operations cheaper, safer, and faster. This includes, especially, the discharge and delivery truck filling activities
    • Oversee the daily monitoring of stock in the storage tank to ensure no product loss
    • Coordinate all depot activities concerning government agencies such as NMDPRA, NNPC, NPA, NIMASA, etc.
    • Ensure the security of the depot and machinery at all times
    • Ensure terminal assets are maintained in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
    • Provide periodic reports to make recommendations to management on required upgrades and modifications in the depot
    • Ensure operating licenses and permits are renewed in time to avoid service interruption
    • Responsible for managing all operational activities in the depot.
    • Review and optimize standard operational procedures
    • Execute operational, OE/HES activities per established priorities such as product receipt, tank gauging, truck loading/unloading, product sampling, transfers, and quality control checks of petroleum products
    • Participate in stakeholders' meetings to improve logistics and operations associated with activities of storage facilities
    • Plan, schedule, monitor, and supervise all aspects of the daily depot operations to ensure safe depot operations at all times, sustainability, zero incidence, and injury.
    • Act as an asset custodian and ensure that company assets in the depots are kept securely and affordably maintained in a manner that will ensure they are preserved and serve satisfactorily over their expected lifetime of useful service
    • Execute planned routine (small) maintenance activities such as, but not limited to, fire extinguisher inspections, valve lubrication and replacements, emergency generator test runs, firewater pump tests, and others, as instructed

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering etc. from a recognized University
    • Minimum of 14 years cognate experience in the Oil and Gas downstream sector, preferably in a tank farm environment, 5 of which must have been at senior management level.
    • Membership with relevant professional bodies (e g. Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation / Shipping / Engineers, etc.)
    • Applicants who have attended advanced courses in Energy, Petroleum Refining / Trading and Marine Transportation or any other relevant course of study may also be considered.
    • Understanding of the transport industry and an ability to relate with shipping companies, maritime agencies and other associated industry managers
    • Experience in cost efficiency and productivity optimization through process optimization
    • Extensive understanding of modem terminal operations
    • Extensive knowledge of company operational procedures
    • Experience in finance related matters, setting budgets and reporting against financial objectives
    • Ability to provide leadership, obtain cooperation and assistance to meet objectives

    Head Warehousing and Logistics - Expatriate

    Job Introduction

    • Adexen was mandated by a multinational FMCG Company to recruit an Expatriate Head of Warehousing & Logistics. The position is based in Lagos.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the warehousing and logistics operations in Nigeria
    • Multi-site responsibilities. Various locations across Nigeria
    • Oversee the development of the customer service activities
    • In charge of the relationships and communications with the clients
    • Manage complaints, requests, and enquires from customers
    • Train and develop the logistics team
    • Supervise the overall performance of the Warehousing and Logistics Operations team
    • Providing regular reports

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Experience with handling importation and shipping in Nigeria

    Senior Electrical Engineer - ELV

    Job Introduction

    • A leading construction company is looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer - Extra Low Voltage Systems for its activities in Nigeria.
    • The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing design and engineering of multiple projects simultaneously
    • Preparing /coordinating preparation of workshop drawings, calculations, selection of equipment, installation details. 
    • Propose value engineering to reduce costs and / planning /selection of equipment for procurement
    • Performing Quality Control reviews for project managers (site)         
    • Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards
    • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in hands-on electrical systems engineering design including production construction documents demonstrating ability to complete electrical systems analysis, design, calculation and report writing.
    • Design Electrical systems for: High store Buildings, Hotels, Hospitals, etc
    • Plan layout of electric power generating infrastructure, power distribution lines, transmission lines and substations
    • Knowledge of Extra Low Voltage Electrical Power Distribution Systems design and calculations
    • Knowledge in design & calculation and planning of lighting systems
    • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, other electrical software programs

    Head of Planning - Expatriate

    • The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

    Responsibilities

    • Report to the Chief Financial Officer
    • Provide analytical and planning support to the company to help in the diagnosis and resolution of key issues, improve understanding of regional economics, and facilitate the development of short-term and long-term performance targets.
    • Support AOP / Forecast development of regional initiatives, business action plans and priorities
    • Facilitate the development of an effective business strategy by Developing economics to understand core business

    • Leading the financial and operational assessment of strategic options

    • Coordinate local capital expenditure evaluation process (small-scale projects)
    • Develop and communicate quarterly updates/outlooks

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance from a recognised univeristy
    • MBA (Finance) is a plus
    • Minimum 10 years working experience in a similar senior role within an international corporation
    • Extensive experience in the FCMG industry is required
    • Cost accounting,  financial analysis, forecasting and capital budgeting
