    Fertility Nurse

    Key Responsibilities
    Medical Services:

    • Assist doctors in conducting ultrasounds and diagnostic investigations.
    • Provide injection training and guidance to clients.
    • Support doctors efficiently during surgical procedures in the theatre.

    Operational Readiness:

    • Conduct daily inspections of all procedure rooms to ensure cleanliness and readiness for operations.
    • Manage procedural areas, maintaining the highest quality standards at all times.

    Quality Management and Innovation:

    • Adhere to agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain quality assurance throughout all processes.
    • Safeguard clients' rights, confidentiality, and privacy at all times.
    • Continuously improve your knowledge, skills, and competencies to excel in your role.

    Revenue Generation:

    • Collaborate with doctors to achieve the company's annual revenue goals.

    Client Relationship and Emotional Support:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering emotional support and counselling throughout their treatment journey.
    • Follow up with clients, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care and attention.

    Administration:

    • Accurately document client information in accordance with SOPs.
    • Input and update client data on Fertismart.
    • Oversee stock usage and prepare monthly stock reports.
    • Prepare weekly activity logs and reports for management review.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Registered Nurse (B.Ns) with a current practicing license.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong interest in fertility treatments.
    • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage sensitive issues with empathy and tact.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of ethics and integrity.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, persuasion, and analytical abilities.
    • Business/Entrepreneurial acumen is an added advantage.

    Job Description

    • George Houston Resources is collaborating with a top-tier healthcare provider to recruit a skilled Embryologist.
    • We are seeking passionate professionals to join our team in Lagos, dedicated to providing excellence in fertility treatments.

    Responsibilities

    Laboratory Services:

    • Perform routine IVF procedures, including egg retrieval, insemination, and embryo culture.
    • Conduct embryo transfers, cryopreservation, and thawing procedures according to standard protocols.
    • Ensure the accuracy and quality of laboratory procedures through meticulous attention to detail.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Adhere to strict laboratory standards and protocols to maintain the highest level of quality control.
    • Regularly monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Comply with all regulatory requirements, including record-keeping and documentation.

    Client Interaction and Support:

    • Provide detailed explanations of embryology procedures to patients, ensuring they understand each step of their treatment.
    • Offer emotional support and guidance to patients during their fertility journey.
    • Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all patient information.

    Research and Development:

    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in embryology and IVF techniques.
    • Contribute to ongoing research projects and clinical trials within the fertility clinic.
    • Innovate and implement new methods to improve success rates and patient outcomes.

    Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Work closely with fertility doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
    • Train and mentor junior embryologists and laboratory technicians.

    Administration:

    • Accurately document all laboratory procedures and patient records in compliance with SOPs.
    • Oversee the inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare orders as necessary.
    • Prepare and present reports on laboratory performance and patient outcomes.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field. Advanced certification in Embryology is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an IVF laboratory.
    • Proficiency in embryology techniques, including micromanipulation and cryopreservation.
    • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
