    Fixed Income Analyst /Trader

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute trades in government and corporate bonds, treasury bills, and other fixed income instruments.
    • Analyze interest rates, bond yields, and economic data to make informed trading decisions.
    • Keep a close eye on market movements, identifying potential opportunities and risks.
    • Collaborate with the investment team to develop and adjust trading strategies based on market conditions.
    • Provide insights and reports on market trends, portfolio performance, and trading outcomes.
    • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, traders, and financial institutions.
    • Stay updated on macroeconomic developments, central bank policies, and regulatory changes impacting fixed income markets.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A background in social sciences with relevant experience will also be considered.
    • 3-5 years of experience in fixed income analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a focus on financial modeling.
    • Good spoken and written English skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts
    • Experience in Financial market especially bonds and other fixed income instruments.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to collaborate across various departments and with external partners.
    • Experience or certification in project management will be considered an added advantage.
    • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.

    Accountant

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
    • This role offers the flexibility to work remotely occasionally while maintaining an organized and efficient work structure.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Financial Management & Reporting

    • Maintain and update accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

    Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights to aid in decision making.
    • Monitor and track financial performance against budgets, identifying and reporting variances.

    Tax Compliance

    • Prepare and file statutory tax returns (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, etc.) on time.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory tax requirements and provide tax planning strategies.
    • Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors as needed.

    Auditing & Internal Controls

    • Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks.

    Accounts Payable & Receivable

    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
    • Manage reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with management, auditors, tax advisors, and external parties to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.

    Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, IFRS, and accounting standards.
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting and tax regulations, adapting practices accordingly.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools).
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Related certifications (ICAN, ACCA) are an advantage.
