    Food Production Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The Production Supervisor manages all activities associated with the production department. She/He is responsible for people and team development, motivating the team and ensuring quality performance.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversee the daily operations of food processing
    • Ensure that production meets health, safety, sanitation, and quality standards set
    • Responsible for coordinating shifts, arranging schedules, and monitoring employee performance.
    • Assessing and determining the cost of production and resource requirements
    • Monitoring stock level and movement of raw materials
    • Track operational output measures (i.e. efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy), anticipating and correcting trends that would compromise the achievement of targets
    • Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
    • Optimize ingredient and packaging material used to minimize scrap loss
    • Administer policies and procedures
    • Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite
    • This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
    • This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally
    • This role may require off-shift and weekend work

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related fields
    • A minimum of 2 years of work experience.
    • Previous experience in food production or experience in a supervisory role preferred
    • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
    • Able to work effectively with formulas, weights and volume measurements 
    • Must possess strong skills, knowledge and capability in food processing, finance and accounting, project management, leadership, and statistics/logical problem-solving
    • Solid working knowledge of the following business enterprises: HSE/quality regulatory compliance, processing/packaging/warehouse operations, ingredient and package material procurement, production planning & deployment, research and development, and excellent communication, facilitation and influence skills
    • Willingness to be coached, take direction and follow our production guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.

    • Lead and facilitate the management team to work towards a common direction; build high-performance teams and manage the performance of the management team effectively
    • Build and install an environment, which exemplifies the Client’s culture and values that guide staff behaviours and decisions.

    Compliance:

    • Demonstrate company Compliance Values by ensuring no violations against the letters and the spirit of the company’s policies due to intentional conduct and/or negligence and participation in mandatory compliance training and certifications as per company determined programs.
    • As People Manager, monitors own team to ensure the required compliant behaviour is upheld.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree, preferably Master's Degree from any major

    Knowledge and Skills (Professional Experience):

    • Minimum of 15 years experience working which consist of at least 10 years experience in the General Insurance Industry
    • Technical expertise need
    • Strong competency in corporate management
    • Good knowledge of General Investment and Financial Service Products
    • Solid knowledge and strong competency of General Insurance business
    • Soft skill expertise need
    • High energy professional with strong business acumen and a global strategic vision
