    HEMM Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for ensuring that the heavy type of equipment is in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs. Accountable for planning & execution of day-to-day maintenance activities of heavy mobile mining types of machinery like excavators, loaders, dozers, rock breakers, dumpers, etc. of different make (CAT, Komatsu, Doosan, Liebherr, Terex, and other models).

    Job Responsibilities

    • Leading engine overhauling technicians & supervisor team.
    • Experienced in independent overhauling of e excavators, loaders, dozers, rock breakers, dumpers engines.
    • Expert in diagnosing engine operational faults and rectification.
    • Handling the overhauling and repair of approximately 100 engines.
    • Expertise in SAP PM functionalities like master data creation, preventive maintenance strategy, functional location, task list, maintenance plan, item measuring counters & documents.
    • Rebuilding of major components of engines.
    • Remove and install, disassemble, and assemble engines.
    • Performance test and make the necessary adjustment to the engine components.
    • Diagnose and correct the cause of malfunctioning or complaints on engines and their components.
    • Preparing the parts requirement for overhauling engines.
    • Forecasting the parts requirement.
    • Knowledge transfer to technicians and supervisors.
    • Should have a valid DRIVING LICENCE.
    • Compliance with ISO regulations.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Sectional Head from time to time.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • First degree or its equivalent in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or related discipline.
    • Minimum of Twelve (12) to Fifteen (15) years relevant work experience.

    Skills and Competence

    • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of plant heavy equipment.
    • Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools
    • Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
    • Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
    • Good data gathering and analysis skills.
    • Good networking and teaming skills.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.

    HEMM Technician

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for ensuring that plant heavy equipment are in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs.

    Job Responsibilities

    • To carry out all types of repairs (emergency/running) and daily/periodic preventive maintenance of various make & types of heavy-duty equipment, utilities, plants/vehicles in accordance with manufacturer’s guidance/recommendation and safe operating procedures to ensure optimum utilization and availability.
    • To ensure proper housekeeping during and after completion of jobs.
    • To give adequate on-the-job training to junior technician/helpers to develop them professionally.
    • To always ensure safety in using material handling equipment, tools etc
    • Carry out performance appraisal and practical assessment of junior technicians/helpers/intending staff for promotion and employment respectively.
    • To use all the PPE as recommended by the Safety Policy of the company and report to the authorities concerned regarding the accidents and near miss incident.
    • To suggest to the management methods of improvements of maintenance practices.
    • To ensure consistent availability of HEMM for operation without interruption
    • To diagnose the problem on diesel engine, hydraulic & transmission system and to initiate remedial actions appropriately.
    • To assist the supervisor/engineer for the spare parts planning
    • Proper handling of tools provided them and to ensure right usage. Also responsible for getting the right tools for jobs at hand.
    • Should have a valid DRIVING LICENCE.

    Requirements

    Manager, Mines

    Job Summary

    • Coordinate and control the mining operations in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Oversee the activities of heavy equipment operators, drillers, blasters and other workers in mining.
    • Ensure the implementation of short-term production plans and targets are achieved.
    • Coordinate the preparation and ensure adherence to mine plans and schedules.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and confer with managerial and technical personnel, other Departments and contractors to resolve problems and co-ordinate activities.
    • Develop and maintain life of mine plans for all operations with input from all operations and manage the successful implementation of these plans.
    • Ensure that all the raw material tons requirement for the factory at the correct quality aims are continually met without negatively affecting the mining equipment utilization.
    • Coordinate with the Head, Mines to set production quotas, to plan extraction sites and to develop policies for the removal of raw materials.
    • Monitor operational performance against budget and recommend operational changes to senior management when necessary to ensure that production quotas and procedures are met.
    • Ensure that all safety, health and environmental legal and defined standards are adhered to.
    • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity.
    • Prepare production and other reports for review by the Head, Mines.
    • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and laid down policies and procedures.
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate engineers, technicians, operators or other Mines personnel.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned but the Head, Mines from time to time.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering (Mining) or a related discipline
    • A minimum of twelve (12) years work experience in mining operations.

    Skills and Competence

    • In-depth understanding of mining principles and practices
    • Well-developed personnel management skills.
    • Excellent investigative, analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills to improve mining operation practices.

    Welder (Cement Industry)

    Job Summary

    • Perform a variety of tasks pertaining to fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair and service of mechanical equipment, instruments and structures used within the plant.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Liaise with the Shift Technicians to identify problematic equipment/machines in the plant and effect repairs promptly.
    • Implement SOP’s for maintenance.
    • Execute corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment/ machines in a timely manner.
    • Assist to ensure safety precautions are observed and personal protection equipment are worn during repairs or scheduled maintenance.
    • Take inventory of working tools weekly to ensure that it matches the original tool list provided.
    • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
    • Replace minor fixtures in the plant machines.
    • Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
    • Enter data into ERP system (e.g. SAP) for spares and consumables.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Trade Test I in related Trade with 10 years relevant work experience.
    • Trade Test II in related Trade with 16 years relevant work experience
    • OND Mechanical Engineering with 5 years relevant work experience

    Skills and Competencies

    • Basic knowledge of cement production process
    • In-depth knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
    • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
    • Problem solving skills
    • Ability to pay attention to details
    • Good relationship management skills
