    Description

    Responsible for operating Dumper in a safe and effective manner.

    Requirements

    • A Trade test or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
    • Valid Driver's Licence (Class H)
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the operation of excavator, dumper etc.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Operate all dumpers in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

    Drill Spotter

    Description

    We are looking for a Drill Spotter who will assist with the day-to-day operation of drilling machines to bore blast holes in open-pit mines and quarries.

    Requirements

    • Five (5) credit passes in Senior Secondary Certificate or a equivalent certificate.
    • Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the Drill Operator in tracking or truck-mounted rotary drilling, air-track or other drilling machines to bore large blast holes to specified depths at staked positions in open-pit mine or quarry.

    Job Summary

    Responsible for ensuring that plant heavy equipment are in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise, coordinate and schedule the maintenance of all plant heavy equipment to ensure identification and elimination of equipment breakdowns.
    • Perform routine check on raising equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
    • Test repaired raising equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.

    • Liaise with OEM service engineers/representatives as in equipment commissioning, warranty, product support and technical manpower development
    • Perform all performance appraisal of staff/intending staff for proper upgrading/selection.
    • It is the responsibility of the drill/water pump head to ensure safety of men working with him in accordance with the company’s safety practices/guidelines and also the safety of equipment working under his control. Any near misses/accidents is to be immediately reported to the superiors for timely actions to be taken.
    • It is the responsibility of the drill/water sectional head to monitor all maintenance personnel to shift timing & discipline.

    Officer, Accounts Payables (Cement Industry)

    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer , Payables to coordinate the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments when due. Ensure the validity of all supplier invoices before authorization for payment and appropriate reconciliation of supplier accounts.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage the account payables function in Dangote Cement Plc’s (DCP) corporate Head Office.
    • Analyze and maintain account payable performance metrics, service relationships and communications across departments in DCP.
    • Provide appropriate responses to suppliers’ queries/ issues and escalate unresolved issues to the Head, Head Office Accounting, as required.
    • Perform reconciliation of suppliers’ sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger on a monthly basis.

    • Match supplier invoices to purchase orders prior to processing to ensure consistency and identify errors/discrepancies/irregularities for prompt resolution.
    • Maintain ageing report of debt and outstanding payments to suppliers.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head, Head Office Accounting.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting or a related discipline.
    • Professional certification from a recognized body (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) will be an added advantage.

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
