    Public Health Officer

    The Public Health Officer (PHO) is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health of a defined population through applying knowledge, skills, and abilities in the field of public health. The PHO will develop, implement and evaluate population health initiatives in line with the public health goals and objectives of the organization. The PHO will also provide leadership in developing public health policy, planning, and research.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Monitoring disease outbreaks in the community and working with other agencies to control the spread of disease
    • Developing plans for natural disaster preparedness and response, such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, forest fires, or drought
    • Recommending changes in public health policies to improve health conditions in the community
    • Conducting research on public health topics such as disease transmission patterns, chronic disease management, substance abuse prevention, or nutrition education
    • Coordinating the provision of healthcare services in the community such as immunizations, disease prevention, and disease treatment
    • Preparing reports on public health activities, including disease trends and statistics, health risks, and environmental hazards
    • Maintaining records of communicable diseases, birth and death certificates, and other public health information
    • Coordinating efforts with public health organizations at the federal, state, and local levels to address public health issues
    • Developing educational programs to help individuals adopt healthy behaviors and lifestyles

    Migration Officer

    Provide technical support in analysing and compiling migration-related trends and issues in view of identifying strategic, programmatic and programme-specific funding opportunities. Contribute to the development of and consolidate analytical, strategic and thematic reports and documents on Migration Governance approaches and priorities, for internal use and external distribution to donors, government, partners and other counterparts.

    Qualification 

    • Master’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience.
    • 28 years old 
    • Minimum of 3 years NGO experience 

    Work Schedule 

    • 5 times a week (8-5)

    Executive Assistant

    The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director with the day-to-day business of the organization including scheduling meetings and maintaining the director’s calendar, preparing correspondence, coordinating travel, other related functions.

    The individual should exhibit a high level of professionalism and posses excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with donors, board members, clients, and staff under the direction of the Executive Director. The individual is a self-starter, extremely organized, and has a keen eye for detail, and highly developed problem-solving skills.

    Qualification 

    • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Additional professional-level administrative services or social service experience may be an added advantage)

    Education officer

    The Education Advisor is responsible for technically leading the NGO Programs, in both humanitarian and development contexts, working closely with other thematic advisors and relevant units. The advisor will play a leading role in initiating innovative project ideas, designing and writing up technically sound proposals; developing and roll out technical guidelines, tools and systems to ensure program quality and education outcomes on children; playing the leading role in internalizing, mainstreaming and rolling out of programming principles; ensuring the development and application of robust education quality bench marks across all projects whereby implementation and monitoring of projects guided through the roll out of the quality benchmarks; assessing and building the capacity of education staff involved in implementation of projects to ensure the quality and outcomes of projects on the at delivery levels; generate and present high quality evidences for learning, advocacy of donors and policy actors; undertaking effective and impactful representation in national and regional education platform.

    Qualification 

    • The ideal candidate must possess a master’s in education with experience in the NGO sector
    • 28 years above 
    • Minimum of 3 years NGO experience
