    Telecoms Projects Engineer

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Telecoms Projects Engineer to join its work force in Nigeria. Responsibilities include: 

    • Prepare technical specification for standardization of telecom equipment.
    • Write procedures for preventative and system exploitation and ensure usage by maintenance contractors.
    • Carry out technical engineering studies for design and installation of Telecom systems, RADAR, Mast, Earthling, PAGA, CCTV, Entertainment etc.
    • Supervision of project deployment in line with specification and GS TEL installation rules.
    • Preparation of technical dossier (Scope of work) for RFQ from potential contractors regarding telecommunication projects, and specific operations on systems.
    • Prepare technical scope of work for different dimensions of Telecommunication projects.
    • Participate in contract technical bid evaluation and follow up other actions by contract department.
    • Carry out routine telecommunication assessment and preventative maintenance visit and propose improvements.
    • Participate in quality performance meetings with third party contractors.
    • Develop capacity of Nigeria Company’s personnel regarding project management and exploitation of critical production system
    • Carry out maintenance activities on Telecoms systems on call out basis for Telecom installations in specific sites (ERIT, EMT, CMT) in the affiliate.
    • Execute project (EPCC) in the affiliate and ensure seamless handover to operations team.
    • Propose Improvement of the QoS provided by the Telecommunication Contractors for systems maintenance.
    • Propose to Telecommunication management new evolutions regarding hardware infrastructure.
    • Prepare system procedures for technical exploitation and end-user usage.
    • Continually recommend improvement in telecom solutions for crises means and validate with hierarchies.
    • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned to him by the hierarchy.

    Transverse Functions:

    • Provide Operation and maintenance support in collaboration with Field Engineers and Technicians, of the following field systems and equipment: PA/GA, CCTV, GMDSS, Access control, Radar with AIS, UHF/VHF Radios, Satellite TV, Line of site/ non-line of site microwave links: WiMAX, 4G/LTE, Radar Beacon (RACON), Non-Directional Beacon (NBD), Video conference, Infrastructure monitoring systems.
    • Support offshore Telecom specialists and assist in carrying out maintenance activities on Telecom systems.
    • Recommend for adoption, appropriate solutions for operational problems/anomalies of Telecommunication Equipment/Systems at Field.
    • Participate in affiliate Telecoms and other IST projects and related task forces and deliver on assigned tasks.

    Profile

    • Minimum University degree B.Sc. degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in telecommunication, network engineering, operation, and maintenance. Experience in commissioning and delivery of Telecom aspects of large O&G production platform project is an advantage.
    • Good reporting, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge and use of computer drawing and office applications.

    Legal Counsel

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Legal Counsel to join its work force in Nigeria.

    The suitable candidate shall:

    • Undertake legal research work and provide legal advisory services in respect of Corporate, Non-Operated Assets, and Country Services.
    • Identify, analyze and interpret national and international statutory and regulatory texts and contractual documents at draft stage or in force.
    • Advise on the interpretation, application, and enforcement of such texts.
    • Analyse and interpret Nigerian legislation and/or draft bills; follow up and regularly review new legislations and pending bills in National Assembly.
    • Prepare and draft agreements and contracts and follow through their implementation.
    • Advise on contract provisions.
    • Provide legal opinions/advice to relevant COMPANY’S departments/project teams on a wide range of legal issues.
    • Provide legal support to COMPANY through the analysis of legal risks and possible impact on potential transactions.
    • Provide legal and contractual support to the COMPANY’S asset departments/project teams in assigned matters including in its liaison with partners, as applicable.
    • Handle routine to complex legal dossiers and take part in negotiations with partners, contractors, and government agencies.
    • Participate in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements and contracts used in the E&P Industry.
    • Participate in negotiations with COMPANY’S’s partners, contractors and relevant government agencies.
    • Representation of Company at External Meetings as may be advised from time to time.
    • Advise on pre-litigation phases, handle litigation and arbitration matters, liaise with external counsel in any litigation/arbitration and settlement process, and represent the company in court and tribunals.
    • Carry out any other tasks or activities assigned by the Legal Manager, Corp Services, AOBO & PCS, and or General Counsel.

    Profile

    • 1st degree in law (2.1 or 2.2).
    • Call to the Nigerian Bar +10 years post call experience, 7 of which must be experience in a commercial law firm or commercial environment.
      Excellent Communication Skills
    • Master's degree in law and knowledge in French would be advantageous

    Instrument Senior Technician

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is looking for a senior instrument technician to join her team of workforce here in Nigeria.

    MISSIONS : 

    • Responsible for maintenance operations within his field of competence.
      Ensures that maintenance operations under his responsibility are carried out strictly with the COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations within his field carried out on site by the CONTRACTOR.
    • Guarantees a good availability of the equipment he is responsible for on production sites.
    • Plays a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training by mentoring on site.

    Operations:

    • Organizes and performs on site maintenance operations, which are placed under his responsibility.
    • With his teams assists specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC).
    • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during the performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
    • Ensures that all maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment are carried out safely and efficiently and in strict compliance with COMPANY operating procedures and any relevant statutory legislation to maintain all such equipment in sound and safe operating condition.
    • Manages interventions using the CMMS.
    • Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,
    • Monitors the functioning of systems placed under his responsibility,
    • Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams and actively participates in this himself,
    • Carries out, at the Supervisor's request, any intervention within his field of competence.
    • Takes charge of the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until the correct operation status.

    Methods:

    • Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements.
    • Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggests improvements.
    • Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts and Suggests improvements and requests modifications.

    Profile

    The following knowledge will be essential for success in this position:

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in the maintenance field on offshore oil and gas installations.
    • Higher National Diploma or Higher qualification in Electrical/Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
    • SAP experience and know-how.
    • Must have handled flowmeters in all forms up to automation level.
    • Must have the ability to install and calibrate ultrasonic flowmeters Technician.
    • Ability to read I interpret P&IDs.

    Tendering Coordinator

    Job description

    SPIE Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a Tendering Coordinator to join its work force in Nigeria.

    • The tendering coordinator participates in liaison with the Bid Manager/ BD and Country managers in the preparation of technical and commercial offers, in particular by ensuring that risks (operational, technical, contractual, financial, HSE, etc.) are taken into account.
    • He/she guarantees the relevance of technical and commercial offers while ensuring compliance with Group procedures, deadlines and customer requirements.

     MISSIONS: 

    • Comply with and ensure compliance with the QHSE rules, OGS’ instructions and procedures.
    • Carry out the analysis of the call for tender and a synthesis in order to facilitate the decision whether to bid or not.
    • Prepare the first risk analysis of the call for tender.             
    • Coordinate on all aspects (financial, contractual and technical) from analysis of the clients call for tender up to contract award.
    • Manage the validation system.
    • Coordinate and ensure the delivery on time of full bids in liaison with the bid manager or the business developers and country managers.
    • Ensure the compliance of the bidding as per the Corporate Standards.
    • Comply with the tendering procedure (documents to prepare, level of approval with the required management level).
    • Go through the CFT context/compliance, safety/security, scope of work, bid strategy, cost analysis, margin & cash.
    • Ensure the implementation of the decisions taken during the tender approvals.
    • Organize a kick-off meeting in collaboration with the various parties involved in the tender (support functions, service lines, the relevant stakeholders and the BU Manager).
    • Coordinate the response to the call for tender with the various stakeholders defined during the kick-off meeting.
    • Participate in the technical and commercial clarifications requested by the client during the call for tenders.
    • Animate the internal closure meetings.
    • Animate the validation of all contractual documents before signature
    • Manage the transfer to operation team upon award.
    • Support the operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of the business.

    Material & Tools Coordinator

    Job description

    • Day-to-day field work and supervision, preparation of overall plans and ensuring safe work practices are being followed.
    • Assist with weekly, monthly tracking, reporting, and reviewing for ( General tools, especial tool and lifting gear ).
    • Assist in maintaining excel equipment forecasting and tracking sheets.
    • Track rental equipment orders and on/off rents for equipment
    • Ensure equipment meets application and advise when equipment does not or if other equipment may be better suited for requested application
    • Assist with policy updates and writing policies for equipment and tools use on site as other areas as requested
    • Assist contractor in coordinating equipment for maintenance with other contractors, ensuring that equipment is serviced in a timely fashion
    • Supervise field activities related to daily tasks to ensure proper handling of especial tools.
    • Ensure equipment meets the requirements certification and track certification expiration date to ensure tools and equipment always available and certified.
    • Note all other points found on the Excel sheet , CSR Responsible will change to ( Tools / Materials coordinator ).
