    Senior Marine HSE Officer

    Job Summary

    • To coordinate HSE activities in ORC Fishing and Foods Ltd and Master Marine Services Ltd to attain the company’s commitment to the health, safety of personnel, contract workers and the general public as well as fulfil its environmental stewardship to the present and future generation.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Conduct regular HSE Inspection and audit of vessels and all its parts against local and international standards such as NIMASA, ISM Code among others to ensure compliance applicable regulations.
    • Ensure vessels, equipment and facilities comply with safety regulations, operational standards and environmental protection protocol.
    • Coordinate and conduct HSE training and programs for crew members as well as onshore personnel.
    • Develop and maintain emergency response plan for various possible scenarios to ensure prompt and effective corrective action to management and prevent occurrence of emergencies.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures specific to the operations of ORC and Master-Marine Limited ensuring alignment with industry standard and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
    • Liaise with vessel captain and ground leaders to conduct incident (accident and Near-miss / dangerous occurrence) investigation to determine root causes and implement corrective actions / programs.
    • Establish and maintain HSE system for management of contractor.
    • Any other duties assigned by the Group HSE Manager.

    Requirements

    Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements:

    • BSc in Marine Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or any related field.
    • Proven experience as a Marine HSE Officer or in a similar role within the maritime industry, preferably in commercial fishing.
    • In-depth knowledge of marine safety regulations, international standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL), and environmental protection practices.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and familiarity with ISM Code and ISO 14001 standards is advantageous.
    • Willingness to travel and work offshore as required.
    • BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training Course) certificate mandatory.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Monitor Expenses against Budget
    • Analyze Expenses and look for ways of optimization and cost cutting
    • Develop KPI for controllable expenses
    • Monitor CAPEX items against AOP
    • CAPEX Forms Preparation (Acquisition/Disposal)

    Assistant Legal Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Assistant Legal Manager will work closely with the Legal Manager and other stakeholders to provide legal advice, review contracts, and mitigate legal risks.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Render support for all legal and secretarial needs of the company.
    • Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures for the department/company.
    • Draft, analyze and review legal agreements, legislation, and documents for the company and all its organs.
    • Provide legal support for heads of departments and unit heads.
    • Prepare periodic litigation and debt recovery reports for department’s consideration and commercial teams’ knowledge.
    • Monitor compliance with all legal requirements, including contractual and commercial law, health and safety law, environmental law, labor law etc.
    • Monitor, assess ongoing litigation and debt recovery cases, ensuring execution of the best course of action. Serve on committees or special project vehicles of the company as may be directed by the group head legal.
    • Conduct appropriate research for legal cases- the legitimacy of asset deals, lawsuits and investigation & Keep track of new updates in corporate and business law.
    • Support team leaders in negotiations for contracts with third parties and assist with company secretarial and administrative duties.
    • Support periodic compliance audit of group companies.

    Requirements

    • LLB Graduate
    • Between 6 - 8 Years experience
