    Head, Depot Operations

    Department: Sustainability

    Job Summary

    • The role plays the functional leadership activities to oversee the day-to-day activities of the depot operations pan Nigeria and remains critical for consistent value delivery.
    • The Head of Depot Operations coordinates the management of the depot spend with adequate stewardship of the float management and cost reduction initiatives, oversees the depot infrastructures consistent improvements, takes responsibility for Depot Health and Safety policies , and responds to stakeholders affairs.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Inventory and Depot Management.
    • Depot Rationalization and Infrastructural improvements.
    • Mentor and train the depot coordinators ensuring adequate succession planning are in place and demand same of the coordinators within their respective area of jurisdictions.
    • Implement warehouse best practices across the region and enforce compliance through the depot coordinators

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study
    • 12-15 years’ experience in similar role within Cement Manufacturing or FMCG industries
    • Experienced with other software packages including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Full knowledge of the S&OP processes.
    • Knowledge of SAP/APO or Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred.
    • Robust knowledge of warehouse management (Preferably SAP WMS inventory management)
    • Demonstrated proficiency in in material management and inventory control methodology.
    • Good understanding of customer management and sales processes
    • Strong evidence on working with customers with the inherent skills of to focus on customer satisfaction.
    • Strong people, stakeholder and change management skills.

    Head, Planning & Logistics Projects

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Head of Planning & Logistics Projects will be responsible for managing the alignment and execution of the weekly/daily planner, manage all related projects within the logistics function ,implement replenishment plan that derives the highest regional dispatch attainment and management of the plant outbound S&OP Processes.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Review sales plans, customer budget updates or latest estimates and demand drivers.

    • Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales, marketing and finance.
    • Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts.
    • Review promotional plans with sales and marketing, and evaluates impact on trade offtakes.

    2. Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel:

    • Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion.
    • Lead the plant outbound S&OP processes.

    3. Execute a sustainable regional dispatch plan that optimizes the sales outlook per region in line with the target aggregation of regional allocation at customer level.

    4. Logistics Projects:

    • Coordinate the logistics projects scoping with the relevant process leads and ensure strict adherence to implementation milestone.
    • Carry cost benefit analysis across the various project to facilitate seamless approval process.
    • Establish hyper care horizon for all projects to ensure early adoption and buy-in by stakeholders.

    5. Execute a sustainable regional dispatch plan that optimizes the sales outlook per region in line with the target aggregation of regional allocation at customer level.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in any relevant field of study
    • A minimum of 12 -15 years’ relevant experience on the role. FMCG experience preferred
    • Strong analytical and project management skills.
    • Advanced knowledge with use of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Certification in Lean Six Sigma could be added advantage
    • Robust understanding of rudiments of demand and supply planning process.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and projects of various scale in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
    • Proven financial and operations management
    • Proven supply chain experience including demand and logistics planning and management

    Head, Logistics

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Head of Logistics is responsible for the effective planning and distribution of cement in Nigeria, end-to-end management of the Customer Truck Empowerment scheme, Cost Optimisation, Management of the S&OP Process and overall responsibility for Health and Safety.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the development and implementation of a strategy for the function including performance and cost optimization
    • Prepare and execute people development plans including succession planning
    • Identify and execute cost improvement areas within the function
    • Day to day management of the S&OP process
    • Automation of the S&OP Dashboard
    • Drive Process improvement of the function
    • Support Sales and marketing in delivering budget
    • Drive improvement in depot infrastructure

    • Maintain Regional Distribution and Cost Equilibrium in line with budget
    • Maintain a periodic benchmark of trucks performance against peers
    • Drive improvement in trucks and depots efficiency improvement

    Requirements

    • Minimum of related degree from a recognised higher institution.
    • Membership of a related professional body is a essential.
    • A minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in similar role within cement manufacturing or FMCG industries
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Proficient with microsoft office suite.
    • Proficient project management skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Strategic thinking, planning, financial and project management skills
    • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and projects of various scale in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
