    IT Network Administrator

    Department: Corporate Services & Development
    Job Type: Permanent

    Responsibilities
    The IT Network Administrator will be responsible for the following:

    • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations.
    • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
    • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
    • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
    • Work within the established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
    • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
    • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • A minimum of HND / BSc. Degree in Computer Science Electrical / Electronics Engineering or in a related discipline.
    • 5 - 7 years experience in designing, implementations of LAN/WAN networks, Network and Cyber Security industry experience.
    • Network+ or CCNP in Routing & Switching or Security is required. MCSE certification is a plus.
    • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco routers/switches and Cisco/Fortigate Firewalls.
    • Hands-on experience in Routing protocol, OSPF/EIGRP/BGP.
    • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
    • Basic understanding of network services, DHCP, DNS, Proxy, NAT etc.
    • TCP/IP network design and configuration.
    • Network Documentation skills.
    • Experience working with Cisco Identity Services Engine (Cisco ISE).
    • Good understanding of Voice over IP technology and Cisco CUCM (Cisco preferred).
    • Hands-on experience in Enterprise wireless implementation.
    • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of IT security skills in Encryption, Endpoint protection, Email protection.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Infrastructure, Windows server operating system DNS, DHCP and Microsoft Exchange Servers.
    • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 and CIDR.

    Manager, Capital Projects (Electrical)

    Responsibilities

    • Provide project management leadership and promote best practice in Project Management, ensuring assigned projects are delivered to agreed specifications, timelines and approved budget
    • Design Data Centre infrastructure components in line with applicable international standards and ensuring detailed and accurate specification of components
    • Manage implementation of Data Centre projects or any other assigned Projects ensuring projects are delivered effectively and most efficiently.
    • Analyze potential project risks as well as barriers and define appropriate mitigating plans to enable timely resolution or outright avoidance.
    • Develop Work Breakdown Structure and detailed project management documentations, including milestones and responsibilities share on all assigned projects.
    • Develop processes and work standards required for the implementation of projects, and monitor compliance to ensure the set objectives are met.
    • Responsible for compliance with all Capital Projects departmental processes, keeping custody of all departmental process documents.
    • Guide the Technical team’s capital expenditure for the company in line with the strategic plan and report on the CAPEX spend on Capital projects, ensuring consideration of financial and technical tradeoffs as well as compliance with all fiscal and regulatory parameters.
    • Perform strategic planning and financial analysis, including budget preparation and obtaining necessary approvals for all assigned capital projects.
    • Monitor the budget for capital projects; oversee their financial effectiveness by exercising cost control measures, motivating for budget enhancements when required.
    • Monitor and administer the relevant contracts and agreements for each project.
    • Measure the delivery of the technical key performance indicators (KPIs) especially as it relates to the capital projects.
    • Prepare reports and make presentations on all assigned projects as may be required from time to time.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • First Degree in Electrical & Electronics or related Engineering discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 8 years work experience, Five (5) of which must have been in leading and directing Telecoms or allied infrastructure projects.
    • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is also a requirement for this position.
    • Must be numerate with excellent Project Management skills and competency in desktop research.
    • Excellent engineering design skills, good knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure design principles are key requirements for this role.
    • Other skills such as planning and organization, budgeting, policy design and development, process improvement, negotiation, presentation and strategic planning are also required for this role.

    Demands of the Job

    • Overall successful outcome of all assigned capital projects, ensuring projects meet the agreed quality standards and are delivered on time, within budget and allocated resources.
    • The Manager, Capital Projects will manage vendors and partners involved in projects, ensuring all projects are executed in line with MainOne business objectives and strategic plan.
    • The Manager, Capital Projects will also be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments typically involved in the technical management of the core network including Technical Procurement.
