    Assistant Sales Manager

    We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team at Baccalaureate Consult as an Assistant Sales Manager. This role will primarily support the Sales Manager in executing sales strategies and managing day-to-day sales operations within our travel consultancy sector.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Sales Manager in developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies tailored to Nigeria's travel consultancy industry.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to support the creation of integrated marketing campaigns that highlight our services' unique value proposition.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, preferences, and insights, translating findings into actionable sales plans.
    • Support the development of sales and marketing content aligned with our brand identity and audience resonance.
    • Analyze sales performance data to refine strategies, enhance ROI, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry partners to expand our network and enhance market reach.
    • Stay informed about travel industry developments, technological advancements, and marketing trends to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including managing appointments, schedules, and customer inquiries.
    • Maintain sales reports, documents, and records, and coordinate meetings and events as required.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, and coordination roles within the travel consultancy or related industry.
    • Age 35 and above.
    • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends in the travel industry.
    • Provide exceptional customer service by advising clients on travel options, including destinations, travel dates, costs, and accommodations, to meet their travel needs and preferences.
    • Create customized travel itineraries, including flight bookings, hotel reservations, and travel insurance, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, visa regulations, and destination information to provide accurate and relevant advice to clients.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver personalized travel services and solutions.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
    • Handle client inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations and sales pitches to potential clients and partners.
    • Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Stay abreast of the latest travel industry developments, technological advancements, and marketing trends to drive innovation and uphold our competitive edge.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Travel and Tourism, Business, or a related field; HND or OND preferred.
    • Proven experience in sales roles, particularly within the travel or hospitality sector.
    • Strong understanding of travel industry products, services, and trends.
    • Exceptional sales and customer service skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information and negotiate deals.
    • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for travel and a deep understanding of the distinctive challenges and opportunities within the Nigerian travel consultancy industry.

    Other Requirements

    • Previous experience in the travel and tourism industry, accounting, insurance, or related fields.
    • Proficiency in communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Willingness to travel frequently to engage potential clients and maintain meticulous client data records.
    • Proficient in both written and verbal English.
    • Conversant with MS Office packages.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, embrace challenges, and assume additional responsibilities with gusto.
