    Chief Financial Officer

    Description

    On behalf of our client, a leading Oil & Gas company, we are recruiting for a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategies for the client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial growth and success, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance for the organisation.

    The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance, extensive leadership experience, and a proven track record of driving financial performance in a similar role.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
    • Oversee all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
    • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including investment opportunities and cost management.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
    • Manage the company's risk and compliance functions to mitigate financial risks.
    • Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource allocation and enhance financial performance.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve financial management processes.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, or a related field.
    • Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAN etc.) is required.
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
    • Master's degree in Finance or a related field is highly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing financial strategies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership and management abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Candidates should be based in South-South/South-East Region

    Treasury Manager

    Description

    On behalf of our client, a leading Indigenous Oil & Gas company, we are recruiting for the role of Treasury Manager. The Treasury Manager oversees operational treasury management and ensures compliance with the organisation's established policies and procedures. He/She manages the organisation's foreign exchange exposures, loan portfolio, and related reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports of the organisation ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Assist to develop and implement treasury strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cash management, liquidity, and working capital.
    • Monitor and manage the organisation's cash flow, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, negotiating banking services and managing banking relationships.
    • Develop and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory organizations in the downstream sector, auditors, solicitors, and other relevant entities.
    • Review funding needs, monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior management
    • Develop and implement strategies for raising capital, including debt and equity financing.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline
    • MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an advantage
    • Relevant professional certifications e.g. CFA, ICAN, ACCA or its equivalent
    • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience, 5 of which must have been in a senior role of an organization, interfacing with the Executive team and Financial Partners
    • Knowledge of Financial management, accounting, analysis and reporting
    • Knowledge of Accounting policies and processes
    • Knowledge of ERP Accounting application
    • Numerical and analytical skills
    • Prior Experience in the Banking Sector is highly preferred
    • Candidates should be based in South-South/South-East Region

    Financial Reporting Manager

    Description

    On behalf of our client, a leading Indigenous Oil & Gas company, we are recruiting for the role of Financial Reporting Manager. The Financial Reporting Manager oversees reporting frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and integrity in financial reporting for the organisation. He/She manages the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the organisation in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
    • Coordinate with finance teams to gather financial data, reconcile intercompany transactions, and ensure accurate and timely reporting
    • Monitor compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
    • Conduct financial analysis to assess the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address inquiries
    • Develop and implement financial reporting processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
    • Stay updated on emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes

    Requirements

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related Course
    • MBA or master’s in finance will be an added advantage
    • Possess ICAN/ACCA certification
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, of which at least 5 years are in a senior role.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting software and tools, such as ERP systems, spreadsheet applications, and financial management software
    • Candidates should be based in South-South/South-East Region
