    Head of Logistics

    Job Summary

    The objective of the Head of Logistics role is to strategically scale supply chain operations in alignment with business expansion, focusing on enhancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and speed while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. This involves creating an agile and resilient supply chain capable of adapting swiftly to market dynamics, supplier shifts, and customer demands to minimise disruptions and sustain competitiveness. Leveraging data analytics and Artificial Intelligence for forecasting, demand planning, and risk management to ensure the supply chain remains both reactive and predictive, poised to support continuous growth and operational excellence.

    About the role

    As the Head of Logistics, you will lead the expansion of the company’s supply chain to fuel company growth. Your focus will be on streamlining operations for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, speed and innovation. Cultivating a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the team, you will harness data analytics and AI for forecasting and risk management to ensure seamless operations as we scale.

    In this role, you will: 

    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimise key input metrics and improve corresponding output metrics, including order accuracy, on-time delivery rates, and product quality at point of delivery.
    • Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory levels and respond to market changes.
    • Streamline inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics to reduce order fulfilment cycle time and improve efficiency.
    • Focus on improving inventory turns by optimising replenishment lead times and sales velocity.
    • Drive supply chain costs, budget and financial metrics to optimise for cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
    • Lead efforts to decrease return rates by improving product quality, order fulfilment accuracy, and customer service responsiveness.
    • Leverage technology and supply chain management systems to improve efficiency, visibility, and automation within the supply chain.
    • Lead and manage supply chain projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in the supply chain, developing contingency plans to ensure resilience and continuity of operations.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to ensure favourable terms, quality service, and cost savings.
    • Utilise data analytics and AI for forecasting, demand planning, and risk management to ensure a proactive and predictive supply chain.

    Requirements

    Experience & Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
    • 10 - 12 years experience in Supply Chain or Logistics leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in large scale FMCG e-commerce

    Competencies

    • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive digital transformation and innovation in logistics
    • Knowledge of financial acumen, including supply chain costs, budgeting, and financial metrics
    • Ability to lead  and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and predictive modelling
    • Expertise in supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and related technology solutions
    • Familiarity with risk management, regulatory compliance, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
    • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, communication, and collaboration skills

    Job Summary

    As the Ass. Head of Warehouse, your mission is to lead and optimize warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, accurate order fulfillment, and timely dispatch. You will oversee daily activities, from receiving and storing goods to picking, packing, and shipping. Your goal is to ensure smooth operations, meeting performance targets and customer expectations. You will maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize discrepancies and losses. Leading and motivating a team of warehouse staff is crucial, fostering a safe and productive work environment. Continuous evaluation and improvement of processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs will be a key focus, implementing best practices and lean methodologies. Safety and compliance are paramount.     Requirements

    • Extensive Experience: Typically, 7+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
    • Industry Experience: Experience in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, or a similar fast-paced environment is often preferred.
    • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing warehouse operations, improving processes,and leading teams.
    • Professional Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Lean Six Sigma can be advantageous.
    • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
    • Process Improvement: Experience with implementing best practices, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement processes.
    • Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
