    IT Security Engineer

    Description

    The primary mission of this role is ensuring a secured Dangote IT environment by developing and maintaining the Group’s security architecture ensuring that security requirements are adequately addressed throughout the development and acquisition lifecycles for all assets. This role would define, implement, assess, and maintain controls necessary to protect information and vital assets in accordance with security requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Identity and Access Management – This function responsible for managing and monitoring Privileged identities and access within the Group.
    • Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing – Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications within the environment.
    • Application and Database security - Define, implement, assess, and maintain controls necessary to protect software and applications in accordance with security requirements. This function also includes management and monitoring of database activities.
    • Deploying and Managing Security Tools – Design and implement security solutions that are scalable, reliable, and easy to use. Configure and maintain security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
    • IT Security Governance – Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Supporting Group wide IT Security audit exercises , reviewing policies and advising on IT risk findings.
    • Security Automation – Using systems in place such as Microsoft sentinel to create automations and playbooks to aid security incident response. This would also include using open-source tools to automate repetitive tasks where necessary.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical field
    • Minimum of five years of experience in IT security in a construction-facing industry
    • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or any relevant security certification
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing security solutions, protocols, and risk management practices
    • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/2, HIPAA, and PCI DSS
    • Knowledge of network and security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, anti-virus, and encryption
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    IT Service Management Lead

    Description

    Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT services to all stakeholders within the organization. This role is responsible for managing a high-performance service desk and a geographically diverse team of IT support agents, providing customer-focused technical support. Excellent communication skills, strong leadership, and nuanced troubleshooting capabilities are crucial for success in this role.

    Requirements

    • Oversee the operations of the Service Desk and the IT Support Agents, ensuring the provision of quality, user-centric services across the organization.
    • Establish and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in line with organizational requirements.
    • Ensure a customer-focused approach to problem-solving, with clear, timely communication and effective resolution of IT issues.
    • Collaborate with other IT and business leaders to align IT services with business needs and objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the Service Desk Manager, IT Support Lead, and IT Technical Support/Field Support Engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
    • Lead incident management processes, ensuring swift resolution of issues and minimal disruption to services.
    • Facilitate continuous improvement of IT service delivery through the analysis of performance metrics and customer feedback.

    Qualification/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience in IT service management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • ITIL v4 Foundation certification or higher is required.
    • Experience in managing a geographically diverse team in a complex organizational environment, preferably in the manufacturing sector.

    Security and Network Operations Center Engineer

    Description

    To work with the Lead IT Infrastructure to ensure proper coordination and implementation of all Network and Sever operations functions in Dancom Technologies Limited towards the achievement of the overall goals and objectives of the company and in accordance with Dangote Group Policies.

    Requirements

    • Monitoring the capacity and performance of the network and related services Groupwide.
    • Tracking and documenting network issues and compiling incident reports.
    • Diagnosing and troubleshooting network and related services issues/errors/outages.
    • Responding to network alerts/notifications and hardware malfunctions at the data center.
    • Overseeing the safe installation of hardware and cabling systems at the data center with zero disruption to other related services and connected devices at the data center.
    • Performing regular checks on network hardware and related services at the data center.
    • Monitoring security infrastructure, identifying and reporting Real Time attacks and vulnerabilities on the network, and providing escalations where applicable.
    • Identification of incidents and subsequent analysis and investigation to determine their severity and the response required.
    • Ensure that incidents are correctly reported and documented in accordance with cooperate policy/governance and procedures.
    • Be prepared to provide a Technical Escalation Point during security incidents, establishing the extent of an attack, the business impacts, and advising on how best to contain the incident along with advice on systems hardening and mitigation measures to prevent a reoccurrence.
    • Maintain a keen understanding of evolving threats and vulnerabilities to ensure the security of the client network.
    • As required update Proactive Monitoring/SNOC documentation, processes, and procedures and ensure currency.

    Qualifications/Experience

    • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related areas
    • Possession of the following certification is recommended at the minimum: MCSA, CCNA & Security related Certifications
    • +5 years experience in a technically focused systems monitoring and security role across a range of technologies

    Skills and knowledge

    • Expertise with Firewalls technologies including IPS, DLP, Anti-Virus, Identity Awareness, URL Filtering
    • Strong hands on SIEM Tool configuration & management experience such as Azure Sentinel
    • Knowledge of tools like Nmap, Nessus, and Wireshark and capturing, reading, and analyzing PCAPs.
    • Experience with LAN & WAN networking using routers, switches, and infrastructure products.
      Strong understanding of TCP/IP
    • Knowledge of Endpoint protection technologies.
    • Understanding of Information and Cyber Security, with experience of working in Information Security role
    • Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems basic administration (added advantage).
    • Ability to write scripts in Linux and/or windows
      environments (e.g., PowerShell) (added advantage).
    • Broad technical understanding across Information Security (e.g., Incident Response, Intrusion, Attack Monitoring, Networks, Threat and Vulnerability Management), (added advantage).
