    Accountant

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Contributes to the financial operations and financial reporting functions.
    • Expected to work with other finance leaders in providing timely and accurate information for decision-making.
    • Involved in billing processes and interaction with parents and other external and internal stakeholders, manages accounts receivables and ensures timely collections, ensures compliance with policies, budgetary, and other financial controls around accounts payables.
    • Participates in month-end closing activities and preparation of monthly reports.
    • Supports the preparation of statutory reports and liaises with external auditors and other consultants.
    • Perform bank reconciliations for major accounts.
    • Closely supervise petty cash management.
    • Oversee documentation management and ensure adequate supporting documents exist for all transactions
    • Prepare periodic account analysis
    • Participate in the preparation of management accounts and/or supporting schedules
    • Participate in the timely generation of accurate school bills for all students
    • Ensure regular update of Students Records as and when due
    • Review Account Receivable processes and ensures policy compliance
    • Ensure timely collection of receivables for assigned sections
    • Review Accounts payable processes and ensure prompt settlement of approved bills
    • Monitor statutory payments and advise management on prompt settlement
    • Provide inputs for the development of improved accounting controls, policies and, procedures
    • Ensure proper coordination of activities within the assigned team
    • Ensure adequate customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Support the external audit process
    • Evaluate the performance of the team and make necessary recommendations
    • Perform research and analysis to support decision-making as may be required
    • Other tasks may be assigned by the line manager

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting or Finance related course.
    • Professional Accounting Qualification - ICAN / ACCA.
    • At least 5 years of cognate finance experience (some experience in the educational system will be an added advantage)
    • Experienced in various sub-sections of the Finance function e.g., Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Treasure Management, Financial Reporting, Payroll
    • Experience in a successful ERP implementation process will be an added advantage

    Preferred Skills:

    • Deep accounting knowledge, working knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, Finance leading practices
    • Advanced excel/data analysis skills

    Electrical Technician

    Job Description 

    • Troubleshoot/maintain mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems / subsys tems including control/balancing these systems;
    • Diagnose causes of electrical and mechanical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair
    • Inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs, and recommending preventive maintenance.
    • Install electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, scoreboards, timers, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
    • Repair electrical components and/or systems (e.g. motors, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, switches, intercom systems, equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe working conditions.
    • Respond to emergency situations during and after office/school hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Diagnose problem, replace or repair part, test and making adjustment.
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
    • Use of variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and materials handling equipment in performing duties.
    • Detect faulty operations, defective materials and report those and any unusual situation to the supervisor.

    Routine and checks:

    • To carrying out the full operation test of all Generator Sets. Conduct daily inspection and house-keeping of all generators, weekly load testing and recording of all readings
    • Completion of preventive maintenance electrical equipment? (E.g., moisture, dirt, loose connections, short circuit and poor insulation could result in build-up of heat and fire)
    • Checks on all electrical appliances to ensure switching off when not in use.
    • Checks on electrical problems if reported and corrected? (E.g., shocks, flickering lights, buzzing sounds, smell of burning, arcs, dim lights, sparks, sizzling sound, presence of soot, warm electrical equipment and receptacle plates, etc.?
    • Check if tools used to repair electrical installations insulated: screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, etc.?
    • Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required.
