OVERVIEW:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. IRC has been present in Nigeria since 2012 when the organization responded to flooding in Kogi state. In early 2014, IRC opened a field office in Mubi town of Adamawa state in NE Nigeria followed by offices in Yola (Adamawa state) in November 2014 and Maiduguri (Borno state) in October 2015 and Yobe. The IRC Nigeria country program is implementing multi-sectoral interventions in the sectors of: Health and Nutrition; Environmental Health; Child Protection; Education; Women’s Protection and Empowerment; Food Security and Livelihoods and Protection.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Helping the HR/Admin department in the daily running of the department, while gaining knowledge in the tasks and assignments from the department.

The security situation in Abuja is calm. There is active conflict in many parts of the country and a possibility for further expansion of the conflict and violence into other areas and other states.

CONTEXTUAL BACKGROUND
The IRC has been present in Nigeria since 2012 when the organization responded to flooding in Kogi state. In February 2014 the IRC moved into Adamawa State in NE Nigeria to provide humanitarian interventions through a multi-sectoral, integrated approach for conflict affected populations. IRC Nigeria now operates a country office in Abuja and field offices in Mubi and Yola of Adamawa State, Maiduguri and Monguno of Borno state and Damatru of Yobe State. Qualifications
Education: Undergraduate or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Management, Administration, or related fields
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year
Demonstrated Technical Skills:
Languages: Excellent in English
Computer/Other Tech Requirements Full professional competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
