    Outreach Worker

    Slots: 04

    Responsibilities

    • Provide HIV counseling, testing, and referrals to KP; (FSW)
    • Conduct targeted outreach to KP; (FSW)
    • To promote & distribute condoms & water-based lubricants
    • Adhere to the strict procedure of confidentiality
    • Communicate effectively with clients for appointments and follow-up on referrals.

    Knowledge and experience

    • National Diploma/NCE or its equivalent.
    • Knowledgeable of HIV/AIDS prevention, outreach, and health promotion for at least 2 years.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Energetic & willing to flexible shifts including some nights & weekends.

    Case Manager

    Slots: 05

    Responsibilities

    • Managing a portfolio of cases.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Ensure all clients have initiated on ARVs/Link all identified positives in the community to CART/OSS.
    • Provide/refer for clinical services including STI screening, treatment, and other sexual reproductive health services.
    • Work with treatment facilities and establishments (One Stop Shops and/or CART teams) to initiate same-day, same-site commencement of Anti- Retroviral Therapy (ART) for positive KPs through accompanied referral and monitor adherence.
    • Provide Community-based PMTCT services/referral to a facility.
    • Provide Community-based viral load services (Sample collection, packaging, and transport) to an OSS/PCR laboratory.
    • Provide adherence support for HIV-positive KPs; follow up and report on retention in care as well as viral load suppression.

    Knowledge and experience

    • National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing operations and/or projects in developing countries, preferably in an emergency.
    • Experience as a case manager.
    • Background in health care, HIV prevention & treatment services, and social work.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to speak local languages in Taraba state.

    Community Facilitator

    Responsibilities

    • Could also support and participate in other community activities such as the conduct of targeted mobile HIV testing.
    • Mobilize KP for quarterly community town hall/internal stakeholder meetings
    • Facilitate review meetings with other volunteers.
    • Collect and collate quality data of KPs

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Diploma/NCE
    • Minimum of 2years working experience
    • Good human relations especially with the host community and KP target population
    • Flexibility (readily available at the time of any activity)
    • Computer literacy
    • Ability to speak local languages in Taraba State
    • Understand and respect host community values and respect the rights and values of the KP Community.
    • Excellent report writing
    • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and other related activities
    • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in HIV counseling, testing, and enrolment for key populations in line with national guidelines and best practices
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Accountant

           Responsibilities:

    • Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor or other project managers as required.
    • Reviewing budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
    • Providing timely financial reports when due
    • Preparing actual costs, working capital, and financial reports.
    • Issuing invoices and purchase orders, as well as paying vendor, and supplier bills.
    • Ensuring a steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices promptly.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, or a related field
    • 2 years experience as a project accountant, or similar.
    • Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
    • In-depth knowledge of best practices in accounting.
    • Experience working in an NGO, especially in the area of HIV prevention, care, and treatment
    • Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

    Project Officer

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with local authorities and other partners to harmonize different efforts for better impact and sustainability of high-quality HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services for KPs programs in Taraba State.
    • to promote the acceleration of high-quality HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services for KPs programs in Taraba State.
    • Responsible for supervising the day-to-day implementation of HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services for FSW and ensuring it is by the agreed work plan.
    •  Support capacity-building activities for field-level staff including on-job training and supportive supervision.
    • Ensure timely submission of quality weekly and monthly activity reports.
    •  Able to learn and update his/ her information or knowledge to adapt to the changing situation and context.
    • Seeks to ensure a targeted dynamic and sustain information network between the state agency and Partners
    • Responsible for Advocacy & Sensitization
    • Work with the OSS team, KP secretariat, and State government to deliver on all project objectives.
    • Support Community HIV Prevention and Linkage (1st 90), Treatment, Care, Support, and Retention (2nd 90), and Viral Suppression (3rd 90).

     

    Knowledge and Experience

    •  Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Sociology, or any social sciences, M.sc degree added advantage
    •  Minimum of 5 years of experience in an NGO focused on Community HIV Prevention and Linkage most especially among FSW and other Key populations and knowledge of Community Driven Development (CDD)
    •  Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    •  Professional, good organizational capacity, good human relationships, motivated, flexible, culturally sensitive. and fluency in English and pidgin

    Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures
    • Monitor and evaluate the progress of all project activities toward achieving the project output;
    • Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
    • Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the project’s success;
    • Provide inputs, information, and statistics for monthly, quarterly, and other reports to Project Management Team
    • Provide feedback to the Project Officer on project strategies and activities;
    • Suggest strategies to the Project Officer for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities.
    • Applicant must be from the KP community (FSW)

    Knowledge and Experience

    •  Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Operational Research, Development Studies, or any social sciences; an M.sc degree is an added advantage.
    •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in an NGO focused on Community HIV Prevention and Linkage most especially among FSW and other Key populations
    •  Familiarity with the FSW typology community.
    •  Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    •  Professional, good organizational capacity, good human relationships, motivated, flexible, culturally sensitive.
    •  Fluency in English and pidgin
    • Candidates must be from FSW community
